Hard to believe that one of the best bakeries in the state is tucked down at the south end of Mille Lacs, but it’s true. Everything is good, but the kolaches are outstanding! The staff are friendly. Extremely reasonable prices, too. Take your goodies to Father Hennepin State Park and enjoy them by the lake.

My wife and I ordered our wedding cake from here for our wedding this past weekend, and we were incredibly pleased with the quality of the cake and the service we received. Cori, one of the owners, was very pleasant to work with and Colleen did a beautiful job decorating our cake. We ordered a tiered red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting, and it was delicious! If you are getting married in the Mille Lacs area, we would highly recommend choosing Isle Bakery.

What a great discovery! I didn’t get there until afternoon on a Saturday, but they still had a nice selection — I went right for the giant Apple Fritters and the Bavarian Creme filled Long Johns. Extremely helpful staff. Looking forward to another visit during Fall leaf excursion.
