Super cute new local spot! We heard about this opening, black owned Caribbean soul food and had to check it out.

Location is great, at the back of the pru center, very central, nice inside: they cared about the renovation, little things like outlets and coat / bag hooks at the bar seating was great to see.

Fresh made (still warm) plantain chips with a tamarind salsa was a good intro! We enjoyed the cod fritters and the crispy okra was very tasty, well seasoned with nice heat to it.

Mains were great, our group tried a few things, Rasta pasta with jerk chicken, grilled salmon and brown stew chicken. Well seasoned, flavorful, well cooked, good portion sizes – we ate well!

Currently BYOB, we brought a bottle of wine which is nice!

Service was super friendly, welcoming and they were happy to see us as a newly opened restaurant: we are looking forward to coming back and trying more things.

10/10 recommend. The food was so delicious, the inside was a vibe and our server MiMi was great. She was very helpful with recommendations of the food and drink menu. We had the codfish fritters, oxtail, and curry chicken. For drinks we had the espresso martini and rum punch. I will def be coming back and they also have lunch specials I am excited to try.

My family and I had an absolutely amazing experience! Music was in point, the food was authentic, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned — everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and you could really feel the Caribbean vibe from the moment you walked in.
But what truly made the experience exceptional was our waitress, Mimi. She was incredible — attentive, friendly, patient, and genuinely cared about our experience even after the kitchen had closed. She gave great recommendations, checked on us just the right amount, and made us feel so comfortable and appreciated. Her energy and kindness took the whole meal to another level. She truly made my family visisting from out of town welcomed.
This place is a gem, and Mimi is a star. We’ll definitely be back again — and asking for her!

My husband and I had a wonderful intimate dinner at Isle 15. The waitress Mimi was warm, welcoming and accommodating. The Rasta Pasta, Mac and cheese, yuca mash, steak, sweet plantain was amazing! Music selection was completely my vibe but the volume was low enough for us to speak clearly. This was exactly what we needed!

What a restaurant. Coming from Massachusetts to see Trans Siberian Orchestra and finding the restaurant after the show was a gift. We sat with the owners which were amazing. Just learning they just opened a week ago was amazing. Not only was the restaurant warm and inviting the owners were as well. Do not miss the restaurant when you visit or if you live there because you will be missing out on an amazing experience. Thank you for welcoming us and make sure you put “Dana’s Tacos” on the menu because you will Not be disappointed. You new friends from Boston!!

Amazing new Caribbean spot! A very welcome addition to downtown Newark. The ambiance and decor were on point and immediately inviting. Love the concept as well, as you walk in, you see artwork showing that Isle15 celebrates the 15 countries of the Caribbean. Dope.

It’s early December and honestly, walking in from the cold into that warm, vibrant atmosphere just felt good. From the plating to the artwork on the walls, everything was really well thought out.

The location is perfect too, just steps from the Prudential Center and City Hall making Isle15 an easy pre-event or post-work stop.

I ordered the Rasta Pasta with jerk chicken. Great flavor, nice kick, and the chicken was seasoned really well. Also tried the flatbread with short rib and jerk sauce… fantastic. Would absolutely order it again.

I saw in the comments that Isle15 had been waiting on their liquor license. They have it now, and yes, they delivered. Enjoyed a couple cocktails with my meal, and if you’re a spice lover like me, do yourself a favor and order the Spicy Ri Ri Passionfruit Margarita. Fire.

Service was great! Shoutout to Beatrice and Aisha. Both were super attentive and clearly know their way behind the bar. Overall, a solid experience across the board.

10 out of 10. Great vibes, real flavor. Respect due
