I had the pleasure of trying the burgers at Islands Restaurant in Otay Mesa, and let me tell you—they do not disappoint. From the first bite, it was clear these burgers were made with care. The patties were juicy and full of flavor, perfectly grilled and topped with fresh, quality ingredients. The buns were soft but held together just right, and the toppings—crispy lettuce, ripe tomato, melted cheese, and that signature sauce—pulled everything together like magic.
I went with the classic burger this time, but the menu had some bold options I’m definitely coming back for. The fries were golden, crispy, and generously portioned—great for sharing (if you’re feeling generous). The vibe of the place was laid-back and clean, with friendly service that made the whole experience even better.
If you’re craving a solid, satisfying burger in the South Bay, Islands in Otay Mesa is where it’s at. I’ll be back for sure!

We love this place! Always have great service and never had a bad meal. Kids cheese burger are a kid favorite in our house. And my hubs and I always enjoy the classic big wave burger and recently tried the chicken sandwich, which was soooo good!

First-time coming to this islands restaurant. Omg. The outside is awesome and wait until you walk inside this place. It’s nice. I felted I was in Hawaii, really nice decorations. You fell like the vibe. The hostess is nice & the waiter (Ben) as well. The food is delish. You must come here & try the burgers. Wow! Delicious! I give it 5 rating stars ✨.

Nice atmosphere. Great server. Gluten free on menu. Lots of options. Food and drinks very good. Had a good burger on Gluten free bun. Fries we in dedicated fryer done really well. Some of the best I’ve had. Will go back.

Great place, good food, friendly staff. If you’re in a rush (hour or less), maybe wait until you have more time to eat. Other than that, fish tacos were great and the cheese fries were awesome.

Our server was Mateo, we come a couple times a month to islands and always have good service, yet tonight was exceptional. Mateo was excellent. Took our order promptly, kept checking on our drinks, our food, and gave excellent customer service. Everything was done with a smile! His friendly personality made us feel welcomed! We will definitely be coming back and requesting Mateo to be our server again.

Visited island’s restaurant with the wife and friends. I enjoyed the Maui burger and fries, and everyone else tried the burger bowls. Mine was great (not the best I have ever had) but definitely an eighth on my burger scale. My wife said that the burger bowl was very good. She even tried to replicate one at home a few days later. I think I’ll try one for myself next time at Island’s.

Fantastic hamburgers and atmosphere with a great staff and quick service. We had the Island Burger with fried egg and crispy onions along with chips and guacamole. Everything was very tasty and our waiter was on top of everything. Islanders is located close to multiple shopping venues making it a great place to visit. Highly recommended!
