At the Island Way Grill, we’re all about fresh fish. Our boats make daily trips to the gulf where we retrieve fresh grouper, mahi, snapper and other local varieties. No long-line fish here-just hook, rod, and reel. If it’s any fresher, it is still in the gulf. We also have a variety of hand-cut steaks and so much more. Absolutely fantastic! I haven’t had this level of exceptional service since prior to COVID. We came here for my birthday dinner and in our party it was my son, my husband and I.
Prior to dinner we enjoyed the amazing happy hour! Then we moved to our table outside and enjoyed sushi and oysters on the half shell, all of which was delicious!
We had Jonas as our server and he was absolutely exceptional! He was so sweet and gave my son a colorful pen since our little guy didn’t get crayons with his kids menu (which was a non-issue anyway). Jonas had made the wonderful recommendation of the Hog Fish with the Macadamia Crust, I had initially been eyeing something else on the menu but I’m thankful I went with his suggestion. My husband had the snapper and he was equally happy!
We had the amazing Crème Brûlée which had a perfect top and done just right and we also enjoyed the apple dumpling!
Jonas worked hard to keep us warm with the heaters and was hauling gas tanks and lighting the heaters to keep us and everyone else warm. He worked so hard to make it a wonderful experience, while also working hard to make others experiences equally great. There are not many young people who are willing to “serve,” have an a service heart or go the extra mile today and Jonas is truly the exception. So many could learn from him!
We come from Wisconsin every year and will definitely be making this a priority stop again for exceptional food and service! Thank you for making my birthday special Jonas and Island Way Grill!

We had not been here in 16 years, and we have talked about Island Way Grill ever since our last visit. We were so excited to return and hopeful that what we remembered would still be the same, and it absolutely was.
The restaurant has changed a bit over the years. It feels a little bigger and more casual now, but the food is still outstanding, and the service is excellent. Everything we had was delicious, and the overall experience reminded us exactly why this place left such a lasting impression.
This is truly one of our favorite restaurants, and we will continue talking about it until the next time we return. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Clearwater. We did make reservations ahead of time, which actually made our visit a little easier since they were able to accommodate us right away.

Tried the Supper Club (early bird) menu for $25. Highlights were the phenomenal service (Amanda) and the Caesar Salad. Surf and Turf and Fishermans platter were pretty good. Dessert was an over baked brownie. (Please quality check before serving.) In the end it’s a great deal and you easily get what you pay for.

Visited Island Way for the first time recently to celebrate a friend’s birthday. We reserved a patio table and had such a lovely experience. Jonas took care of us and he was just the best. He answered all of our many questions and was super knowledgeable about the menu. We had such a wonderful and memorable evening with incredible food, a gorgeous view, and the best service. Will definitely be back!

This was a really nice Valentine’s Day for us! We waited (only because we were early for our reservation) at the bar for our table and then enjoyed a nice glass of Sauvignon Blanc and warm sourdough bread/herbal oil dip. The Salmon entree was delicious and our Server (Paul) was perfect… didn’t miss a thing on all counts. Overall, this was a very nice celebration.

My go to for Sunday brunch whenever I come over, on the way to the airport before flying back to the UK. Lovely restaurant with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. $45 for the amazing “all you can eat” buffet, which includes a welcome Mimosa or glass of champagne. Great variety of breakfast items including an omelette station. Fabulous fresh shrimp, mussels and crab salad, sushi, lunch choices, fresh fruit and miniature desserts. Great service, our waitress today was the amazing Lynsie who was very sweet, helpful and attentive.

I had the pleasure of being seated in the section with the server Stacy. She was so funny, charming, and sweet. Stacy was overall very attentive and energetic that It made the experience that much more enjoyable, she definitely went above and beyond. Stacy is the sole reason why I would definitely love to come back besides the amazing view and the delicious food. The food is Fresh and delicious while the Scenery was just as refreshing as the drink selection
