Very touristy and a bit pricy for food, but the service is fast, and the outdoor seating area is nice. The food is okay, my acai bowl had a top layer of pure ice for some reason. Had to crack into thin ice before I got into the acai. Got an eggs benedict with little to no hollindaise sauce, and a salad that had rotten leaves buried underneath it. Overall, a very touristy and gentrified place to have breakfast at. This is the newer Kapolei location, though I have been to the Ala Moana location several times in the past, and recall their acai bowl portions being bigger…

I take my Google reviews seriously — with over 1.5 million views on my reviews and 6 million views on my photos, I don’t hand out 5 stars lightly. When I say a place is amazing, it’s no understatement.

Island Vintage Coffee completely blew me away. It’s been a long time since I’ve found a place that caters so beautifully to a plant-based diet without compromising on flavor, creativity, or quality. Every dish here is perfectly balanced — you can actually taste the freshness, the thoughtfulness, and the aloha in every bite.

We loved it so much that we came twice in one day — once for brunch, and again for dinner. That’s how good it was. The acai bowl was one of the best I’ve ever had — vibrant, refreshing, and full of natural flavor. The vegan “bacon and egg” sandwich was pure genius — hearty, satisfying, and shockingly close to the real thing. And the veggie bagels were packed with flavor and texture in a way only a true chef with passion could create.

If you care about health, flavor, and mindful eating — this is the spot. Island Vintage Coffee doesn’t just serve food; they serve an experience that leaves you feeling good inside and out.

I absolutely love this place! Yes, it’s a little on the pricey side, but it’s totally worth it — the ingredients are local, the portions are generous, and everything tastes fresh and flavorful.

I come here often for breakfast or lunch with my ‘ohana, and sometimes even to get a little business work done. I’ve honestly lost count of how many times I’ve been here since I live in Kapolei — it’s that good. I don’t think I’ve ever had anything I didn’t like!

Breakfast favorites:
• Breakfast Plate (the cranberry walnut bread is amazing!)
• Ham and Egg Croissant
• Taro Bagel with cream cheese — sooo good!

Lunch favorites:
• Wagyu Burger
• Ahi Burger (both are super flavorful!)

They also have the best açaí bowls on the island, and my go-to coffee drinks are the Vintage Kona Mocha and Caramel Kona Mocha — both are delicious!

Highly recommend this spot to both locals and visitors.
Pro tip: Try to come before 10 AM or after 2 PM to avoid the long lines — it gets busy during peak hours!

A favorite of mine to eat at. It is a bit pricey, but it is worth it. Portions are good sized.

I have had a few things here and havent found anything that I didn’t like yet. A few of my favorites that I keep coming back to are the kim chee fried rice, braised beef with the cauliflower risotto (keto), burgers, fries (I think they’re double fried because they have such a great crisp), their mauna kea coffee, and their ube milkshake. And if you’re a local girl like me, and like that DEEP ube flavor, you won’t be disappointed. It has a good hint of coconut flavor (maybe coconut milk??) with just a few coconut flakes in it.

Had açaí bowls and they were delicious! The small sizes were compact but enough for me. Their line was long in a Sunday morning, but the line moved fast enough!

The food was delicious and I’m glad I opted for here over Denny’s. They have indoor and outdoor seating available with a good variety of food and drink options to choose from. I’ll have to try the Shaved Ice another time. This was not a quiet restaurant and the only lull in customers was around when I came in. As it got closer to 1100-1130 the volume picked up.

Parking is always tight near the restaurant due to the other Restaurants in the same foot print. Good thing is that people come in just for the Coffee and other beverages leaving parking spots to open up more frequently than you would expect. There’s also parking in the surrounding areas giving you the ability to walk up from not too far away.

There’s only reason I didn’t give a 5 star for service is due to the cashier being too quick to ring up the next customer. That when I answered that I didn’t need a receipt. She cleared the register before as I was starting to enter my phone number on the screen after asking about a receipt. I’ll be returning to try other things they have to offer as I frequent this area quite often.

They also have takeout and order ahead utilizing TOAST App as an option (Not sure if you can order on any other App). They have QR codes and menus in the entry so you can order without waiting in line or decide what you want to eat before getting to the counter as it’s seat yourself.

I find it quite perplexing how this establishment has managed to earn a four-star rating. Upon entering, it quickly became clear that the atmosphere was heavily tailored to tourists, lacking the warmth and genuine hospitality that one would hope for in a dining experience. The menus were particularly confusing; the selections available while waiting in line differed significantly from those presented at the register, creating unnecessary complications for customers trying to make informed choices.

Additionally, I noticed a significant lack of basic dining essentials—there were no condiments, napkins, water, or sugar provided on the tables for dine-in customers. It was frustrating that no staff member offered assistance or even mentioned these missing items; instead, servers seemed to glide by without engaging with customers or checking on their needs. This led me to navigate the dining experience on my own, retrieving necessary items such as utensils, which should have been readily accessible.

As for the food and drinks, my anticipation was high, especially considering the venue’s apparent popularity, highlighted by the constant flow of patrons lining up outside. However, I soon realized that the long wait times stemmed primarily from having only one cashier processing orders, which felt inefficient given the volume of customers.

I ordered a cappuccino hoping for a rich, satisfying flavor, but it failed to meet my expectations, lacking the creamy texture and robust coffee notes I anticipated. On a brighter note, the Frozen Vintage Kona Mocha was a delightful surprise—its rich, chocolatey flavor and refreshing chill stood out as the highlight of my visit.

Turning to the food, the menu leaned heavily towards healthy options, which I appreciated. I opted for a salad for breakfast, featuring bacon and scrambled eggs. However, the dressing, a balsamic vinaigrette, was excessively diluted, unintentionally mixing with the eggs and creating an unpalatable flavor combination. The bacon was unfortunately overcooked, resulting in a dry, overly crisp texture that was not particularly enjoyable, and regrettably, the scrambled eggs were similarly overdone.

I also sampled the Almond Butter papaya bowl, but it was overwhelmed by an excessive amount of almond butter, drowning out the flavor of the fruits that were intended to complement it.

In conclusion, the prices on the menu did not align with the overall experience I encountered, leaving me feeling rather disappointed. Given the state of the food and service, I ultimately chose to take the salad and fruits home for my rabbits, as they seemed more appreciative of the meal than I was.

Had the wagyu burger and a traditional frozen Kona coffee; both were delicious! The burger was incredibly juicy and the coffee delicious. Very refreshing. Wife had the Poke bowl. She LOVED it.

I love the vibe of this place!! I’ve gone here multiple times to study for my NCLEX and i can come in a simple shirt and jeans and not feel out of place. Or I can come in a pretty dress and have a nice brunch with friends. My favorite thing to get here is a hojicha latte. But their entres are pretty good too, like their mushroom burger. Good portions!! You can accumulate points too 🙂
