I have never ate Jamaican food before, so I was a little hesitant to try the spicy stuff, so we decided to try the Red Snapper after reading some of the reviews, my daughter likes it deep fried, and it was perfect! Tender and moist, with simple breading so the full fish flavor came thru! The Chef cooked it head on to her delight, she can’t get it that way too many places. I had Chicken Alfredo, which was awesome, and the serving was big enough for 3 people! We also had Plantains, and shared a Beef Patty, which was new to me. Everything was great, fresh and tasty! Next time we will try some of the “Jerk” dishes, they look great too!

I don’t know what it was for me it just wasn’t hitting like some of the city jamacian spots. The one plate of curry chicken was mostly bones the curry itself was flavorful but just wasn’t enough poultry. The shrimp curry was a bit better I enjoyed that dish. My boy got the seafood he really enjoyed it and they gave him a lot of rice and peas and cabbage. If your seasoned and you’ve ate many different jamacian restaurants I’m not sure how they compare. Everything I had besides the actual curry itself was basic.

Saw a post about Island Spice Caribbean Restaurant in Carnegie. Decided to go there tonight with a group of people. It was amazing. We had oxtail, curried shrimp, Mac n cheese and plantains. Everything was delicious and definitely homemade. If you have the chance to go there please do. They definitely didn’t disappoint!!

Oxtail was delicious, fall off the bone succulent. Love the little bit of heat in the sauce. The CABAGE was the star for me, that little bit of carrot, onion, peppers in it made it superior to others I’ve had. The beef patties were golden and crispy. Wish i got a picture before i crushed the oxtail

The only thing left only item available was the curry goat. Tasted really good, despite the amount of bones. The cabbage was cold and the rice and peas didn’t taste seasoned. It tasted like plain white rice and I expected some thyme, allspice, seasonings something. He could have offered to add the curry over as gravy if that was the case. The price on the menu doesn’t match the price I paid. 17.99+tax for cold, cold/unseasoned and the amount of goat one usually gets when asking for oxtail with extra bones.

I got the jerk pork with rice and peas and some sweet chili wings. I gotta say some of the best food I’ve had in a while. The jerk is far too spicy for me but very flavorful, I enjoyed every bite even if my mouth was on fire. The wings were my favorite of the meal, they had a very balanced sweet flavor that left me wanting more. I would recommend this to anyone and everyone, will definitely be back to try more of the menu.

Great place if you to try something completely different. Food was outstanding! And plenty of it. The styrofoam container was buckling under weight of how much food was in it. Will be back for sure.

Customer service was good but the food was not, mac n cheese was burned & microwaved seemed old not freshly cooked & oxtails was tough & chewy. I had to leave when I got my order so could not return btw I was visiting PA. so not from there. Maybe I came on a bad day.
