Stopped by this place on our way passing through town. Soo glad we did! The food was very good and tasted very authentic. The oxtail was fall off the bone good. The stew peas with pigstail was delicous and the bone was so soft you can eat it. My mom doesn’t eat meat and she had the veggie chunks and she cleaned her plate, thats how good it was! Marisol and Crissy was very kind and served us well!

First visit, and while the food was good, my experience was overshadowed by how an issue was handled.

The older lady who took my takeout order was extremely patient, helpful, and kind. I ordered a spinach patty and a veggie plate with rice and peas, cabbage, and chickpeas. Guests who came in after me received their food quickly, while I waited about 15 minutes (I didn’t ask any questions just patiently waited).

Then, a woman who appeared to be the manager/owner approached me in front of another customer and the employee. She told me my order had been rung up incorrectly. She stated that I was charged $10 for my veggie plate but “it should have been $14” because chickpeas are made-to-order—information I had never been given. Plus, had I known I was going to have to wait I most likely would not have gotten chickpeas.

When I asked if she was telling me this for future reference, she said no. When I asked if she expected me to pay the difference, with attitude no friendly customer service at all she said yes. I did not ring my own order up, I wasn’t told anything about an extra charge, and I had already been waiting… I asked her to remove the chickpeas because I wasn’t paying extra for something I wasn’t informed about 15 minutes prior.

If the concern was with the employee, that should have been addressed privately after customers left. Handling it publicly and directing it at the customer was unprofessional and unnecessary. I did get the meal as order without being responsible for the difference but after receiving disappointing service.

The food was very good overall—except the cabbage, which really needs to be removed from the menu. I had no problem paying; it was the principle and the customer service.

Food and service was a 10 out of 10. I walked in and got greeted. We ordered oxtails meal and Brown stew with a side of Mac and cheese. Everything was hot and delicious. And I was extremely amazed at the amount of oxtails given because most restaurants will charge you $30 for 3 oxtails. We couldn’t even finish our mean in 1 sitting. Highly recommend visiting if you enjoy Jamaican food.

The staff were very nice and helpful. The food isn’t anything mind blowing. I originally came with the intent to eat at the restaurant but the atmosphere/surrounding area isn’t suitable for that. If you just need some food this place is solid.

Best Jamaican food this side of ATL.
The food well season and delicious. Cashier was attentive and friendly. Chef came out to meet and greet us.

Try their house made juices (soursop and pineapple with sea-moss).

We enjoyed the patties and pastry as well.
Love everything we tried.

I came in today for the FIRST time and was completely blown away by the amazing options they offer for both Pescatarians and Vegans!
I ordered the stewed peas and babyyyyy when I tell you it was the BEST dish I’ve ever had — I mean it! It gives red beans & rice vibes but with a flavorful twist that hits your soul in all the right ways. Every bite tasted like it was cooked with love ❤️✨
The service? 10/10 ⭐
The Manager? Absolutely amazing — welcoming, attentive, and genuine. You can tell they truly care about the experience they provide.
And here’s the crazy part… I’ve lived in this area for 15 YEARS and had never stopped by! I can’t believe I’ve been missing out all this time.
So thankful I finally walked in because I now have a new favorite spot close to home ❤️ A place that actually cares and cooks with love.
Highly recommend!

I love IQG they are one of the very few Jamaican restaurants in the area who have kept their standard of food, service and taste since they opened many moons ago! The food is absolutely amazing so much so that I live in the East Atlanta and Grant Park area and I drive to Lithonia just to get my favorite curry chicken, peas and rice, with extra cabbage⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
