Had very high hopes going in after seeing reviews but came home with a sad looking pizza. Way too much grease. Tasted like it came from a fast food pizza chain only way overpriced at over 20 dollars for a 2 topping pizza. Pizza was okay overall but would not go back. I’d take Papa Murphys over this.

We ordered pepperoni and wildcat pizzas, and wings, and we LOVED it all! Such good flavor, perfect amount of of cheese, and excellent crust.

What made it even better was the service! Family run and welcoming. We will definitely be frequent customers!

Also, they have delivery through Door Dash now! So convenient!

Great pizza, we always have the “Prowler” – cheesy, meaty, and crusty.

Lovely owners. Take out only still.

After living in this town for nearly 8 years, not once have I ever seen this place open. My first impressions were that it was permanently closed down or out of business. Upon finding out it was still open and checking their hours of operation (open only from 4pm to 8PM), I was proven wrong. Naturally, out of sheer curiosity, I had to investigate.

On arriving, seeing the building occupied for the first time in as long as I can remember, I was greeted by a friendly staff member working the register who promptly took my order.

Although the price for a small pepperoni pizza was relatively steep ($16), the wait time was slightly shorter than anticipated and while waiting I noticed most of the interior was blocked off. At one point the establishment seemed to have had ample seating in the dining hall and even arcade games in a separate room. However, these were probably closed down due to covid, and take out was the only option.

As for the pizza itself, the only way i can describe it is being perhaps the “most okayest” pizza I’ve had in Oak Harbor. Not particularly amazing, but certainly not bad by any stretch. The cheese was a bit on the greasy side, but the sauce was pretty good and the crust was a nice mix of crunchy and chewy which really gave it that good “homemade” quality.

Overall I would give the pizza, as well as the establishment itself, 3 stars out of 5. While the food is decent and the service was great, to give credit where credit is due, it is not worth the price point in my opinion. If the prices were lowered, the operating hours less wonky, and the indoor seating/arcade available again, this restaurant could have the potential to become a local staple/favorite. But for now there it sits vacant at most hours of the day, like many local restaurants in Oak Harbor, a monument to mediocrity and squandered potential.

Island Pizza is my reward for a week well worked. EVERY time, Lavon is kind, courteous, accommodating, and expeditious. EVERY time, Maria is beautifully kind and makes amazing pizza that starts my salivary glands the second I take hold of the box. I love Island Pizza. I respect that this family works hard, at places in addition to Island Pizza, with minimal staff. I love them and will be forever loyal.

This pizza is SO GOOD!!! We were going to get Papa John’s but we saw this pizza place and decided to try it. The lady inside was so so sweet and the pizza was absolutely incredible. I have no idea why nobody else was in here. She even brought it out to my car when it was done everybody needs to come here.

Great pizza, easily comparable to New York pizza. Family owned and operated. Reasonable prices. Best pizza on the island hands down.

So, out of all the places on the island that aren’t pizza chain restaurants this has to be my favorite. It definitely has that old school pizza taste unlike domino, the hut or anything of that sort. It was our first time there and saw every customer walk out with a very happy grin on their face. We had a build your own pizza along with some wings and those wingslet me tell ya!!! Finger lickin good! Back to pizza though! Nice and cheesy, crispy crust, delicious dough, topped off with a perfect amount of toppings! Service was awesome, super nice staff. It looked like it was undergoing some renovations and I can’t wait to sit at this establishment to enjoy their pizza straight out of the oven! Foe the mean time it’s perfect to grab and go to enjoy at the beach while the sun sets. Will visit again and again!

Our FIRST visit to this family owned “Pizza” place. On a scale of 1 to 10, the young man taking the order deserves at LEAST an 11. Cheerful and accommodating to say the least. HOWEVER when we arrived home (take out only here) to find one of our “toppings” didn’t make it to the pizza AND the ones that DID were very “skinny” portions indeed, we were starting to have second thoughts. SO, why the FIVE STAR rating you might ask. IMHO it’s the CRUST that really MAKES any pizza, followed closely by the integrity of the tomato “sauce” used as the base. On BOTH they score an 11 as well SO the NEXT time we head there (and we WILL), we’ll just politely open the box lid to make SURE what we paid for is ON the Pizza…………. 🙂

UPDATE (05/03/23): Standing at their front door at 4:30pm and NO ONE in sight. No lights on, NO employees inside, NO “open” sign was on. Guess I’ll just have to fly back to New Haven , CT where the REAL pizza lives (Pepe’s). VERY disappointing………
