Stopped here for breakfast during our group ride on Ozello Trail, and this place absolutely delivered. I tried the shrimp omelette — first time ever having shrimp in an omelette — and wow, it was incredible. So fluffy, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The grits were spot on too — creamy and seasoned just right. Everyone in our riding group couldn’t stop talking about how good the food was.
The service was friendly and quick, and the laid-back coastal vibe made it a perfect stop before hitting the twisties again. If you’re riding through Ozello Trail, make sure to stop by Island Post — you’ll be glad you did.

This place is amazing. Service was excellent, even with all tables being full. The food came out hot and looked and tasted great. Kitchen staff usually delivered the meals. Even though it was a open box atmosphere, it was very well done.

Absolutely a 100% enjoyable afternoon lunch. A place that’s family friendly. Good price,our subs were packed well with meat on a fresh roll. Fries were hot & delicious. Enjoyed the small tal & recommendations of hard ciders or beer.

Don’t miss this gem when you’re in Ozello! Island Outpost is ABSOLUTELY my favorite spot to grab a bite in Ozello. The owners & staff are always friendly. The beer is icy cold, and the food is unexpectedly amazing.
The cheeseburger is oh so good French Fries are hot and crispy.
The chicken wings are darn tasty and only 89 cents each.
The uniquely Island Outpost cuban sandwich is made with smoked pork, and it’s delicious!
The clam chowder is homemade and bursting with flavor.
The Wednesday special (after 5 PM) is pizza. It’s amazing.
The Saturday special (after 5 PM) is tacos. They are generously filled. Oh, so good!
The cheese grits and grilled cheese sandwich are Greyhound approved

Lovely Flower
This is a hidden gem. The atmosphere was wonderful. There were three of us that came in today. Around 2:30 p.m. the waitress was exceptional and the staff very kind. It was nice to see families there. We will definitely come back again. Thank you for your hospitality.

We love going to unusual, off the beaten path restaurants, and we found one here at Island Outpost. How more unusual can you get with a tiki hut in a restaurant? It is almost at the end of W. Ozello Trl. Known to bikers as the Gator Tail. It is a restaurant/ convience/ bait store. There are only 10 tables but you can eat at the tiki hut bar. Our waitress, Danielle, was awesome she even shared interesting facts about the area to us. They serve breakfast all day and have daily dinner specials. They were serving meatloaf the day we were there.
We started with Crab Bites as an appetizer they were delicious, and the sauce had a nice kick. I had the Island Fish Reuben blackened. I had never had one before. It was terrific. It was made with fresh water catfish, slaw, and marbled rye bread. Hubby had the Club Hoagie and fries. He said it was one of the best he has had in a long time. He liked that they added banana peppers. Everything was served hot and fresh.
If you are looking for an overpriced, white tablecloth with linen napkins, then this place is not for you. Save it for those of us who love finding unusual places with wonderful food at reasonable prices.

Proper backwater locals spot, very friendly staff and clientele. Amazing attentive staff and food is good honest, cheap and tasty grub. An amazing perk is the 1$ beers served in frozen glasses. Burger was lovely and their conch fritters and wings were cooked to perfection, really enjoy the last minute decision to stop by.

Fried shrimp was lightly breaded and needed no cocktail sauce. The fried pork tenderloin melted in the mouth. The conch fritters were tasty. The molten chocolate cake was okay. The food was overall great and fresh. Friendly staff. Definitely going back again.
