Wife and I boated up and got a grilled chicken flatbread for take out. The sauce seemed to be made entirely out of several sticks of melted butter and nothing else. The melted butter was so thick, it was basically the only flavor. After soldiering through a couple pieces and getting kinda grossed out, we ended up just picking the chicken off and leaving the rest. One of the worst pizzas I’ve ever eaten.

The view from this place is amazing. The nearby trees frame the view of Lake Tapps and on a clear day Mt Rainier which looms large on the horizon. It is breathtaking. I like the truffle fries and the chop chop salad is huge and enjoyable. Overall, the food is decent but mainly it’s a nice place to have a few drinks, socialize with friends and enjoy the view.

I have been going to Island Lodge for a few years, but today was my last day. Used to be great, but the new management and cook are taking this restaurant to a low level. Food and service is lost its quality and we can’t even complain because the manager is not that friendly. I miss the good old days.

I must say, I have never been to this place and I live about 4 miles from it. First of all service was fantastic we sat on the deck overlooking the pool, the golf course and the water, breath taking!!! Service was prompt and fun and professional. We got truffle fries for an app. Wow yummy and for the price and the quality it was a deal and ohh so good. I got the philly. Insanely fantastic. I have had the real philly in Philly and to me this is much better by far. You have to get it. My wife got the bbq chicken sandwich Wich was not you normal bbq but truly the best bbq sandwich I have ever had hands down. The atmosphere, service, food probably for sure the best place I have been this year. So if you are up in the lake taps area you’d be a fool not to stop in and have and amazing lunch. If lunch is this good I cannot wait to try dinner. 🙂
