Absolutely terrible experience with Island Joe’s. I ordered Ackee and Saltfish and got a tiny scoop of saltfish with the rest of the container stuffed with salad. This is not what I paid for, it’s a complete rip-off. I would never, ever order from these people again. Very disappointed and not worth your time or money.

We came in about a week or so ago and met a kind staff. It was a couple hours til closing so a lot of the stuff we wanted was either sold out or not made that day. We settled for curry chicken and fried chicken.
Glad we still ordered bc both meals were good! The curry was rich and the meat was so tender. Fried chicken was a tad dry but flavorful and the skin was nice and crispy. We will be returning.

My first time eating here and they did not disappoint. Food was amazing and service was wonderful. I felt welcomed. Some jamaican restaurants can be so rude but not this place. They were amazing. Keep up the good work and I will definitely go back

I always look at bad reviews first, but when I sat a GEM for me, that’s real! First off, they’re 100 authentic because they even have soup. I think some people get used to knock-offs and can’t stomach REAL island cuisine. And FYI, ask for extra gravy or gravy in general on your rice because they’re not mind readers, this is something I just know. Island Joe is good with me, and if I’m back in the area, trust me, I’ll stop here. And side note, the lady was very nice and wasn’t in any way rude, so maybe someone was out to sabotage.

Joe’s was incredible. The meals are very well priced and the portions are huge.
My brother and I stopped in after we landed and it was a great choice. I got the jerk chicken which was awesome, he got the curry chicken which was also good. The cook warned me the jerk would be spicy, but as someone who lives in New Mexico, it was quite mild, but delicious.
The cook offered the upstairs seating area to us and it was very nice, cool, and comfortable.

Very inexpensive and authentic Jamaican food! Exactly what we were hoping for. Lots of repeat customers who were greeted like family. Multiple Jamaican customers came in as we ate our food. We loved the food and the prices were unbelievable!

Nice place with good quality food for the price. Patties are very good, just bare in mind that even mild patty (curry chicken one) is pretty spicy! Tried the brown chicken stew today and it was delicious! Chicken quality is pretty good and the spices are well balanced into a tasty product. Only suggestion I would make to the management is to try and make the planned daily menu more consistent, so they don’t run out of most of the food by 2 PM. Staff is great, when line formed they all jumped into fast service mode, much appreciated!

After coming here about 10 times and every single time they claiming not to have plantains, I am here to call them out on their bs.
How does a Jamaican restaurant consistently don’t have sweet plantains while every other single one does?? BS… by the way I’ve seen how selective they are here with the treatment to customers, I wouldn’t be surprised if they only gave those plantains to their favorite customers and/or close buddies only. I am OUT.

I wish I could give this place ten stars. I decided to get something different this time and went with their curry goat which was freaking clutch. It has just the right flavors and it wasn’t spicy (at least for my taste). Portions were also big. Customer service is also great and I was able to get my food in less than 5 minutes. There’s also a different menu everyday. Make sure to try their Pattie’s, the mild is spicy and hot is super spicy. Also try their coco bread which is really good, perfect to dump into the sauces.
