Randomly stopped here during a 12 hour road trip back to Florida and I am so glad we did. The plate on the left is the Size Small Curry Chicken and the one of the right is the Size Express Jerk Chicken. 20/10!!! Im so sad I don’t have this place back at home.

So I literally just Googled ‘best food in Brunswick,’ and the Island Jerk Shack popped up in the top three. Took a shot on it, and man, it was a total win. We went for the jerk chicken family meal, and you get a crazy amount of food for the price. Everything—the chicken, the cabbage, the rice, those plantains—was just fantastic. If you’re considering it, just do it. You won’t regret it!

Staff was very nice and helpful. We had missed the crowd since it was after lunch. The meals my husband and I had (cornbread, curried chicken and jerk chicken with sides) was so delicious we ate every single bite. Music of different genres played in the background as we dine in. I would love to go back to enjoy some drinks and the small like club feel. Reminds me so much of Jamaica when my husband and I visited.

During my short visit to Brunswick, I decided to stop by this establishment before a long drive home. I did not expect much walking in, but had a nice conversation with the server while I contemplated the menu. She guided me and provided helpful recommendations. I ordered the trio sampler of jerk chicken, curry chicken, and oxtail. The wait was a short 4-6 minutes.
When I opened up my take-out box, I was delighted to see the generous portions of meat, flavorful sauce, and rice. It was my first time trying oxtail. I enjoyed the rich flavors and soft braised texture of the oxtail. My favorite had to be the moist jerk chicken and curry chicken. The charred flavors and juicy/soft texture of the chicken made me say, “Wow. This is delicious,” to no one in particular. The meal was enough to last me three separate meals in total. The approx $20 I spent was well worth it due to the quality of the food and portion. I absolutely enjoyed each bite.
I wish I could visit every week. When I visit again in the future, I will prioritize stopping by Island Jerk Shack LLC. Keep up the great work. Thank you for sharing the beautiful flavors of Jamaican cuisine.

I ordered this on Uber Eats for my sick parents all the way from Florida. The order was missing plantains which the owner acknowledged but was missing two coconut waters as well with no help. I specifically ordered from here for the coconut waters for my mom. Uber Eats said that all the items were correct and I couldn’t get any sort of refund. It’s really frustrating. I hope you guys can make it up somehow that I was missing three of my six things and wasn’t able to get any money back because it’s a third-party.

Ordered brown stew fish through DoorDash, when my order arrived I opened it and it was not brown stew. The gravy was yellow like curry. It looks like they used the grace cock soup packets to make the sauce, because it had the little noodles that come in the packet on it. I called to try and talk to someone and there was no answer. As a fellow Jamaican I’m disappointed this is not brown stew fish, idk what this is.

First time visiting. Went to see the band play. Ordered the advertised special of fried shrimp, whiting and fries. Nearly an hour later, still no food. There’s less then 10 people and I’ve seen a few people come in, order to go, and out the door with their food in 15 to 20 minutes. Bartender was super sweet, said she didnt know what was taking so long. I asked her to refund my card, and she did with out issue. First impressions mean a lot, wont be back.
