My favorite was definitely the onion rings! The parm and garlic fires were absolutely FIRE. I would highly recommend getting the parm and garlic fires! The loaded tots were good!
The server was phenomenal! He handled our party of 12 so amazing, and never missed a single beat. He not only had our table, but at least 6 other tables. That’s an amazing server if I have ever seen one. He’s been able to give perfect recommendations!

“Eh” is all I had to say. We rated the food a solid 5.5/10. We decided to eat off the resort for sake of money and saw the high rating this place had and the close proximity to our resort. My husband’s first beer from the draft was completely flat which the waitress quickly amended with a different beer; however, that was 5/10 on crispness. My beer was the same. The drinks were not ice cold. The food was completely bland – he got the loco moco (tasteless, truly) and I got the spicy burger (tasteless, not spicy). Thank goodness for ketchup. Food wasn’t hot. Burgers tasted like frozen Costco patties. Fries were good though. Was it worth the price? No. Was it better than spending $300 at the resort? Yes. Was it worth going back? No. Would we recommend? No.

Great big selection of beer on taps with interesting fusion food menu! Our bartender Levi introduced us to the very famous Li Hing Mui powder, it goes interestingly with the classic margarita! Such a wonderful spot to hangout with great food and friendly services while hiding from the afternoon heat !

Loved our casual dinner here. Didn’t make time to change from beach to dinner but felt just fine here! Excellent burgers and so many beer choices I was overwhelmed! The Cumin-lime salad dressing was awesome.

This place has such good reviews and we can’t figure out why. They do have a lot of taps which is good. We got 3 samples of Ola beers and ordered an NA lavender lemonade; it was decent, but a bit too sweet.
We shared the Teri (smash) Burger with fries and the Smokehouse Sandwich with a salad. Both were just ehh and a bit tasteless. The tomatoes in the sandwiches and in the salad were under-ripe and kinda ick. We felt a bit gross after eating this dinner. Service was decent, but it was at the end of the night and everyone seemed very tired. No plans on returning.

We arrived with a party of 10 on a busy Saturday night and they were very considerate. While the restaurant was busy and they couldn’t necessarily service right away, they still were able to accommodate us with the table so we can sit and order drinks. Our waitress was super nice and hospitable. And the whole restaurant was buzzing. It wasn’t as long as a wait as they expected and the waitress was able to bring us all different types of drinks for the adults and the children and got some appetizers started for us. I took her recommendation for the kimchi, bacon burger, and it was very tasty. Everyone seemed to enjoy their meal. We were staying at the exclusive resorts next to the Fairmont, not far up the road, and we had tried the pizza place and the café and juice bar several times. This little taproom did not disappoint. Not only was the food tasty, but the people were super friendly and hospitable. And they had some really cool artwork up on the walls of island vibes.

We decided to check out Island Hopper Taproom because of its proximity to our resort, and it was an okay experience overall. The outdoor seating area was a definite highlight, with plenty of space and large TVs that made it a great spot to catch a game in a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere.
The drink selection was impressive, featuring local Hawaiian breweries, which was a nice touch. However, the food was underwhelming. We tried the kalua pig sandwich and the tropical summer salad. The pork on the sandwich was “wet” and lacked flavor, though the grilled pineapple and sauce added a bit of redemption. The salad, with fried coconut shrimp and a spicy chili dressing, was decent but nothing extraordinary.
Service was average—polite but not particularly memorable. Unfortunately, the sticky table was a turnoff and made the place feel less clean right off the bat. Combine that with pricing that felt steep, likely due to its location near high-end resorts, and it didn’t feel like the best value.
While the taproom has potential and offers a great drink selection in a chill setting, the food, cleanliness, and overall experience fell short of expectations.

I really enjoyed the food here! Nice little outdoor casual dining area. They had very good fried pickles, great chicken wings, and burgers! The Kyoto highball drink was very good. The li hing mui margarita was a bit too sour and didn’t taste much like li hing mui but otherwise ok. I would definitely return again to try the different items. I didn’t have a chance to try the beer but it appeared to be a good selection of local beers!

We enjoyed the live music, the server was nice. They don’t give refills on soda. They do give you free chips and salsa if you do a google review which happened to work out since we actually ordered the chips and salsa. Chicken sandwich was good but small for the price. The wife really liked her coconut shrimp. Overall, the options to eat are limited in the immediate area so worth a try but probably wouldn’t eat here again.
