This place is really displayed as a concession stand inside a sports center building.
The staff was patient, friendly and helpful. The food tasted good and did not take long to be prepared.
I was looking for a restaurant and that came up on my map, I was a bit taken aback when I saw the location, but the food made up it.
If you do not mind a bunch of kids 8-17 running around in uniform playing sports and their families all over the place as you dine, then def try this place out.
The food made up for the ambience
Although not a big deal, I just was not expecting that when I decided to stop by. It was my first time so when I return it will be to take the food to-go.
I tried the jerk chicken pizza, the jerk wings were my favorite, then the meal with rice and cabbage was also good.
The portions are also decent. Check them out!

This was my first time. The lady in there told me the food wasn’t all that so I said I will get a veggie patty. They homemake the patty so it takes forever for it to come out. I can appreciate the make on spot but it should have been good and it was more bread than anything. The carrot cake is homemade and it was OK, but a little dry. Homemade Sorrel, was not bad but I should have went with my first mind and took my 15.00 somewhere else. I have been throwing up and running to the bathroom ever since.

Delicious traditional Jamaican food with a unique twist! The island Grill is a place to go for delicious and nutritious meals! The Energy drink is a great pick me up after a workout or just to to get started for the day. The refreshing sorrel drink is quite delightful. Kudos to the chef and staff At Island Grill!

Best authentic Jamaican food I have tasted!! The flavor, texture and seasoning that the food has is on point ! Their patties are delish !!! You can taste the food is made with love! My husband raves about this place, and wow when he brought home the jerk chicken meal I was so impressed, it was SO GOOD.
Give yourself a favor, don’t wait any longer , go get yourself and family a meal from there.

Hidden gem! They are located in the Exurb Fitness. The food was delicious and they give a generous amount of food. I purchased the Crocker entree with rice and plantains. It was seasoned well and very delicious. Thank you for your service.

The food here is EXCEPTIONAL. It was a hot day and we thought the big portions would weigh us down (I had Ox Tail for the first time, it was divine!!), we felt so light and strong after eating.
We also had a strawberry smoothie, which my wife LOVED (she kept raving about how it was not too sweet, it was great). But we also had the spicy lemonade (which was absolutely great and the hibiscus drink, which I wish didn’t have to end. It was an amazing experience.
Chris (the owner) is constructing a lounge here too (I know it will be fantastic because I’ve seen his build work, he’s pretty much a master). When the lounge arrives, I know the atmosphere will be amazing. We got to watch competitive skaters dance on the ice and have great food!! It was so, so special.

We decided to go to Island Grille after reading the previous review. The jerk chicken and curry chicken tasted like authentic Jamaican food. The cabbage, rice and peas, and plantains were good too. You get a generous serving of each. Right now, they do not have oxtails, so we couldn’t try those.
The customer service was great too! I am sorry we didn’t take a picture of our food first.

Decent. Jerk chicken tasted more like barbecue chicken. These commenters lied and clearly never had authentic Jamaican food. The cashier was a sweetheart though.

It’s at a weird location… but honestly with how an expensive space is this probably was the better option. First and foremost thank you for taking the risk… because this food is amazing (oxtail and garlic jerk shrimp pasta) If you love plantains then get them on the side.

I ordered the curry chicken meal highly recommend this was my first visit definitely my favorite place in the county now for my curry chicken and their in house drink reggae rush was so delicious the staff is amazingly friendly
