Food is so delicious. I had to write this review before I was even done. Everything is perfect. Temperature is perfect. The food is fresh. The oxtails the meat is literally falling off of the bone. This is the best Jamaican food I’ve eaten since I’ve moved here from New York. All the other places were just nasty. This is so good I will come back.

Very clean, bright and welcoming. The service was polite. I tried the redbean soup which was excellent. Very hardy full of meat and vegetables. I also tried jerk and fried chicken both delicious. Most dishes come with choice of rice but today we just had side vegetables with some gravy. My only suggestion would be a simple homemade hot sauce.

This is one of my favorite Jamaican restaurants. It’s close enough where I’ll go every other day lol. The food is really great, very nice workers and the place is always clean. I got the jerk chicken wrap which was delicious, very flavorful with the right amount of spice. Also got stews peas with rice very good.

Island Flavor cafe gets all 5 stars from me! I’ve been recently enjoying different dishes here and I can now say I’m a regular. Clean restaurant. Open hot food area where you can see what you’re getting. They let you sample too. The best part of all is they let you get lunch prices on their lunch menu all day long.
The oxtail is my favorite here so far but the curry chicken here is also amazing. I tried both their white rice and their red bean rice. Both great. The vegetables are a favorite of mine as well. They’ll also add gravy to your rice for you. Delicious!

This is by far an authentic Jamaican spot. It is clean. The staff members are friendly, courteous, and professional.
It is not often you can find any restaurant, or other establishment, for that matter, where you can freely give an excellent review and never “look back” at what is written.

Listen, this restaurant food is delicious! The Oxtails, super tender, melts in your mouth. The cabbage and rice & beans, omg! It’s nice and clean. The staff is very friendly. I live in Tampa and anytime I come back this way, I will definitely make a stop to Island Favor Cafe! November 10th 2025, my 60th birthday, I so glad we chose to go there to eat. Kisses to the chefs and staff!

The rice was so bland and the jerk chicken wasn’t even jerk chicken THEY SERVE BAKED CHICKEN AND THEN ADD NASHVILLE SEASONING ON IT AFTER. And I asked for Jerk sauce they gave me a cup of jerk season to add to my already baked chicken that’s filled with Nashville seasoning NASTY I WON’T BE BACK! Such a waste of money and gas to go that far for nasty food

Finally, some good Island food!! On our way to visit my MIL, we came across this gem for lunch. We had the lunch specials $5.19 each, feed 4 ppl for under $30 !! Jerk chicken, rice and peas, plantains & veggies, I got the curry chicken platter—I wanted some of the garlic honey wings— they looked yummy (next time). Food was hot, flavorful and staff were courteous!! Restaurant and bathroom was clean too!! Beef patty was a bit to thick for me, but the filling was good and spicy!!
