i got the beef stew and it barely has any flavor very bland. Also and spot i go to they have great portions of food this lady gave me a lot of rice and only 4 tiny pieces of meat i asked for more and they requested me to pay extra. Very bad experience i will never be back. picture is before tasting

i’ve ordered from this place a couple of times and the food was really good and they always give a generous amount so i started ordering here a lot . however, this time i found a little metal string in my ackee and salt fish.
not sure what this is but its metal and i know it doesn’t belong in my food. i am no longer going to be a customer here. this is unsanitary and dangerous.

When I telllllllll You this is a MUST GO You Better Run. Service impeccable, food 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. The amount of oxtails in a small order had me smiling. Then the taste . My Husband got curry chicken and I was all in his food as well ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Then to top it off the server was so kind I almost didn’t want the food , bc if you eat island food the service isn’t always the best. Not Miss fabulous with the violet colored hair. She made us feel beyond welcome. We will Absolutely go back again.

My son had one bite and said … “oh my gosh Dad!!! This is amazing! I wish we had this in PA”! Our family thoroughly enjoyed your meals! Oxtail. Mac&cheese. Stew beef. Curry goat. Jerk pork. Chocolate cake! And a coke to top it all off! We were afraid of the jerk sauce. There’s one amazing! Homemade!

They sent the food very well packaged. The dumplings were amazing. Soft and crispy and fresh. Gave a good amount of oxtails. I did order with butter beans and received no butter beans so please be mindful. However, the oxtails were good. I’m not always a rice and peas person so I wish I ordered white rice, but that’s not on them. Plantains were packaged well too and tasty. Cabbage was fresh. Overall decent meal.

Let me tell you, Island Flava in Paterson, NJ, is absolutely incredible! From the moment I stepped in, I knew I was in for something special. The curried goat was, without a doubt, the best I have ever had in my life. The flavor was so rich and perfectly balanced, and the meat was so tender, it practically fell off the bone. I was so blown away by how good it was that I had to sit down and take the time to write this review. That’s how amazing it is!
And then, there’s the manish water. It truly took me back to Jamaica. The taste of real ram goat in the soup was so authentic—it felt like I was sitting at a fire side in my hometown in Christiana, Manchester. The flavors were spot on, and every sip just felt like comfort in a bowl. I can’t even explain it, but it was so good that I didn’t want it to end.
Oh, and the oxtail, It tun up! You can tell they know exactly how to season and cook it. The meat was tender, juicy, and the seasoning was just perfect. Every bite was packed with flavor, and I couldn’t stop eating it!
I seriously can’t wait to go back and try the jerk pork next time. If it’s anything like the other dishes, I know I’ll be hooked for life. Jamaican Flava has definitely earned my loyalty—they will have me coming back again and again. They have the whole package—real Jamaican food, excellent service, and a vibe that feels like home. I highly recommend it to anyone craving di real thing!

Can not get over how caring and sweet the service here is. I ordered on uber eats early in the am, about 10. The items I wanted were not ready just yet, but the woman I spoke with offered me other choices that were and at no additional cost. I am beyond grateful. The veggie patty was spot on and the oxtail was delicious. Many thanks to this place for giving me a great meal.

Love the variety and the taste. Dumplings were moist and not overdone (not tough). Really enjoyed the flavor and chef did a great job adding just enough seasoning. Unlike some other places where you can’t taste the spices this is on point. Would recommend the ackee and salt fish and fried dumplings any day.
