Tasteless food. Went here to have dinner, the ambience was ok, the price was to be expected. While the person who served us was pleasant and friendly, we waited a long time for her to take our order. Waited even longer for the food we ordered. Makes you wonder since there was only 1 other couple there with us-(separate party)and even after they were served, finished eating and left, we still waited a good while before we got our food. Yes we understand the food was cooked to order/ 2 of our dishes, but the time the hostess/waitress gave us- we waited double that time. Plus we were the only ones there. Hhmm!? So you would expect that after the wait the food would be to die for. However, the steamed fish was very bland, no okra, no seasoning and overcooked. The grilled chicken was also bland, unseasoned and undercooked. And the curry chicken just had no taste. They said it was Jamaican, but these had no flavor, or tasted like Jamaican food. The only experience of Jamaican food was the cost. Not even the essence or smell was present. The place was empty of patrons (maybe because it was a Sunday evening. or lack of flavor of food) Anyway the waitress/ hostess told us that they provided several entertainment there during the week. The food is amazing I had the jerk chicken and shrimp bowl with plantains over rice . The chef is so nice he is great at what he does the staff is so welcoming and attentive. If you are in Fayetteville stop in for some tasty Jamaican food . Sorry about my photo i was hungry and excited to eat my dish and forgot to take a photo first .

This one is a little harder to rate. The server was nice & friendly, the food was good when we finally got it. I first ordered the Caribbean Jerk Pork Ribs, they did not have them. (We were their first customers that Sunday). Then I ordered the Jerk Chicken Wings, you guessed it they were out of chicken wings. Then they told me that they could do up something that would be vary good and similar to the wings. They fixed a chicken leg and then charged me for Jerk Chicken meal. My wife had the Caribbean Jerk Chicken bowl and enjoyed it. Other members of our party had the Grilled Chicken Breast & the Sweet & Sour Chicken and said that the food tasted good. We may try again but it will not be after church on a Sunday.

Stopped here for food during a roadtrip. Ordered pick up, the place seems like a vibe as it is a lounge with music. The lady was very rude when we informed her we were picking up. I got stew chicken with rice and peas, and mashed potatoes. I’ve had rice and peas before, and the quality of the rice was just off and the mashed potatoes were instant box mashed potatoes which in my opinion are just nasty. The stew chicken was good, no complaints there. My friend got rasta pasta and said it was very good.

Island Flava is a nice Jamaican restaurant. I went on a day when it was less crowded. The server was nice and pleasant, but I only saw one server. I had a lemon drop as my drink of choice. The drink was okay. Also, I had the curry goat with rice peas, and plantains! I enjoyed the food, the curry goat had great spice and the rice and peas were good. Overall a good restaurant, I’d recommend better lighting.

We needed a place for carry out and ended up at Island Flava. When i finished the order person on line ended convincing to come in. Place was nice atmosphere with good music. I ordered the Jerk Salmon and it was super delicious…spicy :). Everyone was so attentive and welcoming. Truly a great experience for our family. Thank you

The oxtail has no flavor doesn’t taste like they put any seasoning in it. I spent $16 for a side of oxtail not including the tip. They put it in a small styrofoam container by the time I got home all of the juice was in my car because it was not sealed

I pulled up at 11pm fresh in town from flying in, the lady there who cooks the food was really nice and the jerk chicken pasta tastes really good as she said it did. I appreciate it.
