I stopped by the Island Chew Tasty Food truck for some delicious Jamaican cuisine, which was stationed at the Brandon food truck park. I ordered goat curry and jerk chicken, both served with rice, cabbage, and plantains. The owner and chef, who was friendly, managed everything on her own-at that time. The good portions of the two dishes cost under $40. I noticed there weren’t any visible prices for the meals, so I had to inquire about them. It would be great if the prices were displayed more prominently. Overall, great vibe!

Absolutely outstanding! The Island Chew food truck in Brandon is a true gem. Their jerk chicken is perfectly spiced and tender, easily the best I’ve had. The peas and rice are flavorful and complement the chicken beautifully. The cabbage is fresh and well-seasoned, providing a nice balance to the meal.
The plantains are caramelized to perfection, adding a delightful sweetness. Carline’s mac & cheese is creamy and comforting, a perfect side dish. The fried chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, simply delicious.
Both the beef and jerk chicken patties are packed with flavor and have a wonderful flaky crust. Every bite from Island Chew is a burst of authentic Caribbean taste. The food is made with heart & soul. Highly recommended! Five stars!

Listennn! Oxtails are BAD; tender and seasoned to perfection. Portions are Huge and the price was very reasonable. Rice and Peas delicious and that cabbage Mon- Omgosh. I know good Jamaican food when I have it and this one is amazing! Don’t forget to get her homemade Fruit Punch! An added drink that made me feel like I was in the islands . Also the vibes is nice. She is super friendly. I’ll be back very soon… just moved in the area and no need to look for another spot! #Respect

Absolutely amazing food, customer service was kind and personable. The portions are surprisingly large and I can’t wait to come back to try the entire menu. Come earlier in the day to try some of the more in-demand items like the curry goat patty which was amazing!
