The food, atmosphere, music, & chef here are all amazing. We were looking for a place to grab lunch today while house hunting and happened to stumble upon this spot

Best spot on Mercer Island for brunch (and bottomless mimosas)! We went in on a weekend and there weren’t many people there. The atmosphere is welcoming and the menu is priced just right. The drip coffee we ordered is the best we’ve had on the island.

No photos, but the chicken and cinnamon waffle was delicious.

Give it a shot if you’re nearby!

This place is amazing!! Great food, great staff and great vibes ! Had the mini cheeseburgers and added an egg, with the sweet potato fries Great place to catch sports games, huge projector. I’ve also been here for breakfast, which I must say was a great choice. Bottomless mimosas!! Great visit over all and will definitely be back for the BBQ next time !

They usually aren’t crazy busy any time we’ve gone. They have a HUGE TV and cute bar area if you’re looking to go for a game. Their dinner has always been relatively tasty and they have a decent wine selection. Brunch is fun because they offer $4 dollar mimosas or unlimited for $15. Their brunch food however leaves a little more to be desired. It’s ok, not bad, and not amazing. They do though have a fun outdoor patio in the summer.

Great food and fantastically friendly service. My wife and I split a BBQ platter, very good. The brussel sprouts were amazing (but be sure to ask them to go light on the salt unless you are a fan of salty food). Kids got chicken tenders (perfectly crispy, but they wanted a bigger serving) and an Island Burger. Chef T heard it was my birthday and surprised us with a complementary fried cocunut ice cream flambeau! Even dimmed the lights when he lit it up. Wonderful experience.

Great service, good drinks, good wings, nice happy hour…but BBQ was lacking. I’m originally from Texas, so I’m used to BBQ ribs, chicken and brisket. I got the BBQ plate with all 3 meats and I was underwhelmed. The ribs were ok, but the chicken could use more seasoning and the brisket tasted and had the texture of roast beef. The baked beans didn’t have the sweet brown sugar taste and reminded me more of pinto beans. All things considered, I plan on returning to Island Broiler (but staying away from their BBQ).

Excellent. The service was great and fast, they are so nice, the food was excellent. Tried the special pho and spring rolls is highly recommended in the food critic’s review, and I definitely have a new favorite. The crispy calamari and grilled squids were light and crispy, not very oily at all. The yellow curry was rich and thick, love it. Awesome burgers, had this for several times. 5 star spicy chicken Pad-Thai did not overwhelm the flavor of the dish, with the spicy coming as a slow burn after the flavor. Definitely will go back again. Beside the foods, the place is so nice, beautiful and fun sports bar blend in with the water fall themes calm and relax.

Nice and clean restaurant. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and very attentive. Chef T came to speak to us to make sure everything was suitable. He also made reccomendations based that we were extremely pleased with. We went for breakfast and are definitely coming back!

Update: Since there’s not many restaurants on the Island, and the food here is really good, I called in and voiced my concerns to the manager. She made it right and explained that the below shouldn’t have happened, especially not repeatedly. That went a long way.

Great food, but can’t figure out how to make bacon well done. It’s perplexing. The service isn’t great by the regular lunch waitress. If there’s an issue, she’ll take care of it but you can hear the discussion in the kitchen. The cook appears to not care and the waitress won’t accept the error as her fault. She says “I’m not the cook.”

Surprisingly good food, perhaps even great; exterior does not hint at this level, and Mercer Island overall tends to have mediocre food (not bad, usually, just “meh”) all over. I have visited this place three times so far, and have been pleasantly surprised each time, from caprese sandwich to roasted vegetable salad & ribs+fries. Everything in food is professionally done: technically flawless, taste & seasoning spot on. And even looks good. If more widely known, or under name-recognized chef, they could charge significantly more; as things are, prices are decent too.

I have had no problems with service either; the only odd thing is that the place has not been bursting with customers. Good for me, as it’s easy to find room, but I really hope the current incarnation of this restaurant makes it and stays in business. MI is a tough place; another good place (Deli near book store) called it quits in 2 years. So best of luck to Phat 12s.

Keep up the good work.
