Initially we were super excited to try this place because we seen it advertised on tick tock. But to our surprise it was not good. The oxtails were very tough. Not to mention that there was so much fat on them. It was very hard to eat around it. The plantains were undercooked and almost raw mushy and the red beans and rice were salty. The so-called boiled dumplings were unedible. They were hard and lumpy and had no taste ,we were
really looking forward to supporting a black owned business, but this one did not the cut by far. $60 wasted

Good, vibes good food. I stick to my usual items of oxtail, curry goat, ackee & salt fish, and patties. Tried the jerk chicken, didn’t care for it so would not recommend. Everything else has been great. Been coming for years!

This food is sooooooo yummy! Seasoned beautifully. The staff is so friendly every time we visit. They actually give a generous portion of food. I always have leftovers. Their prices are actually pretty reasonable especially with the quality of their food. I have tried every Jamaican food restaurant in the local IE city and they by far are the best.

I’m so disappointed. I’ve been come here for now 2 years. Just recently reverting the new year they increased their prices. Ok sure … I get it…. But the quality of food seems to have decreased. It’s no longer good. I had the curry goat. It was very oily an super tuff. The plantains super oily as well and old. I’m soooo sad what happened??

Three of us went on a Saturday evening. Menu on wall is clearly laid out, and we ordered on a touch-screen. No alcohol, but an assortment of interesting soft drinks, e.g., ginger beer. Main dishes with two sides start at $17. We ordered Brown Stew Chicken ($17) and Curried Goat (2 for $22 each) on the touch screen, which was easy to navigate and pay, unlike some I’ve experienced. Food was ready pretty quickly. The staff opened each styrofoam box for us to inspect and offered hot sauce in bottles. Large portions! Steamed vegetables were tasty and the carrot strips were crispy. Fried plantains were as good as I’ve had. Lots of flavor for both the chicken and goat. The atmosphere is nothing to speak of, just tables in a plain room, but if you’re just there for the food, that’s all you need. I’ll be back!

The food was good. Satisfied with the portion size of the jerk chicken. I got an entire chicken breast rib bone and wing attached! Deliciously spicy! The rice was a little bit dry, wish it had more sauce but I still tore it up!! Yum!

Island Breeze Jamaican Cuisine in Colton is an absolute gem that you don’t want to miss! From the moment you step in, you’re greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that instantly transports you to the heart of Jamaica. The staff are incredibly kind, sweet, and respectful, making you feel right at home.

Now, let’s talk about the food—it’s nothing short of spectacular! I ordered the beef patties, oxtail plate, and jerk chicken, and each dish was bursting with authentic flavors that took me back to my unforgettable trip to Jamaica. The beef patties were perfectly spiced and flaky, while the oxtail was tender and rich, melting in your mouth with every bite. The jerk chicken was seasoned to perfection, offering a delightful kick that left me craving more.

Even though there was a small mix-up with my order, missing the oxtail in the second plate, the incredible taste and quality of the food more than made up for it. It’s clear that the team at Island Breeze truly cares about their customers and their culinary craft.

Whether you’re a local or willing to make the drive, Island Breeze Jamaican Cuisine is worth every mile. Trust me, once you experience their mouthwatering dishes and exceptional hospitality, you’ll be planning your next visit before you even leave. Don’t miss out on this delightful taste of Jamaica right here in Colton!

First off I just wanna start off by saying me and my fiancé came to this place. I never had Jamaican food so he was excited to bring me here when I came down to visit. He got the jerk chicken and I got the oxtails and we both got cabbage and rice and peas. We try the food in the car along with this cornbread type of rolls that he also got everything was really good. I like the flavors are really happy we got home ate the food that next morning. I got ready to head back home and he was feeling a little ill and then I was feeling a little ill. He ended up getting food poisoning And he is still sick. He threw up all of his jerk chicken the whole meal actually and then I ended up getting really sick and got a strep. Now I’m starting to feel like the cook or someone else was very ill and instead of them not coming to work they still came to work. I’m really disappointed because it was my first time trying the food and now we’re both very ill. To the cook or whoever was actually ill, I feel like you ruined it for us and it might’ve been best that you stayed home. Whoever was that was sick. Passed it down to us.
