First time here and we will definitely go back. Did not disappoint. Everything was great. If anything I was just cheese up the Mac a little but it was seasoned so I cant complain ! The hot honey lemon pepper wings were amazing. My lady loved the ox tail. The breeze lemonade i believe it was delicious. Beef patties had the perfect amount of kick. Thanks for being open till 9 on a Wednesday.

Very little food in my plate for $34
I Ordered an oxtail meal and a drink for dinner. I trusted that they would do the right thing and did not open the bag until I got home! Big mistake….I was wrong. I was supposed to have 2 sides items. I chose plantain and got a very tiny piece of plantain… It was so small that it blended in with the cabbage. Then, the Mac and cheese LARGE portion did not even fill my spoon. It cost me $34 and I am super upset. I did not want to drive back to return the food and get my money back.
Customers, please be aware… don’t trust them… check your food before leaving …. The lady tied my bag so tight that I had to rip it open. It should have been a sign. I will NEVER go back there…. I feel like I was robbed in daylight. Absolutely mischievous.! Sad experience for a Caribbean restaurant in Jacksonville. I just really wanted to support the cause but, I was very disappointed. I will post photos later

What can I say? My son and I visited today. We were welcomed to Jamaica by Morteshia as we entered. I don’t know exactly what we were expecting to see, but it certainly was not this spacious dining area, with a stocked bar behind the counter. The delicious food is cooked to order, so patience is needed. We had a great conversation with “Teshia”, and drank a couple of Jamaican sodas while we waited. She presented each of the three entrees separately, and they were beautiful. They are as tasty as they are beautiful. According to the menu they cater, we ordered to go, but next visit, I want to sit and enjoy the full experience. Go visit and have some great food and great conversation.

The food took a bit long to prepare but it was really good! We ended up getting the jerk chicken and the oxtails with side of Mac and cheese. The chicken had a spicy smoked flavor and it was a dry rub. The oxtail was cooked very well, very tender. The Mac and cheese was a bit dry but had good flavor. Called the order in and it took longer than 20 minutes waited inside for about 15 and about 10-15 on the way there.

Shout out to my server Nikia! Very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Great interaction with the chef. The staff was very welcoming. DJ was jamming. The main event (the food) was good. It’s the authentic Jamaican cuisine…jerk pork was extra spicy for me ….but flavorful. Check it out all you spicy lovers. Great vibes! Get your Happy Hour drinks!

Ordered an Oxtail platter, brown stew chicken, plantains & a beef patty, the only thing that was truly edible was the plantains. The beef patty was badly burned and the oxtail and brown chicken smelled spoiled as if they had let the food sit out for longer than it should and then heated it up and served it the smell and taste was overwhelming so as I took a closer look I saw white spots on the oxtail that looked as if mold may have began growing. not to mention the flavor was not there at all & the cashier was on the phone the entire time, overall I just would not recommend this place

The artwork inside was beautiful when I walked in. There was no one inside when I came in, I sat myself and waited 20 min before someone greeted me. I ordered my food and asked for a water and ginger beer. Food came 30 min later, which was fine, but I still never got a drink, so I asked again and got my ginger beer but no water. I got the brown stew chicken. It was tender and wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t to my liking. I found it salty and just not what I was looking for. Cabbage and rice n peas were ok. They also included a 16.5% gratuity to the bill, and it was just me. They no longer do happy hour, and I wish the cocktails had the items in the drink. If you’re from South Florida or the island, you may not like i, but find out for yourself

This is a Jamaican restaurant so although they do have a few other items, please not that Jamie food is the primary cuisine served. The menu is hefty, and yhete are plenty of things to choose from.

So let me just state up front that I completely forgot to take pictures of the majority of my food. When I arrived I was starving. I hadn’t eaten all day (unintentionally), so I wasn’t even thinking about photos until much later. I did manage to get one photo of my Breezy Shrimp. They were delicious. If you need a reference, think Bang Bang Shrimp, but it’s slightly different.

Other items that were ordered were beef patties, rice and peas w/ oxtail gravy, and the wings. I wanted all flats w/ sweet and tangy sauce. Please note that there is an upcharge for all flats. All of the food was hot, fresh, and delicious.

I also ordered several rum punch and a Ja’Mosa, which is their version of a mimosa. Drinks were absolutely phenomenal and strong.

The environment was nice, chil, and inviting. They had a good R&B mix playing in the background. All of the wait staff were very friendly and accommodating. The place was clean as well.

It’s located in a plaza so there PLENTY of free parking.

They have karaoke on Wednesday, Happy Hour on Thursdays from 5 – 7 PM, and brunch on Saturdays. I definitely plan to return.
