This Jamaican restaurant is new to the community. I am always looking for some great, consistent tasting Jamaican food with great customer service, so I decided to try it. Well, I wasn’t disappointed at all. The moment that I saw the restaurant from the outside, it gave you a warm and welcoming feeling inside, I was greeted when I stepped in. The stage was already set for me to enjoy a mouth-watering tasting food on the menu. I ordered the oxtail with rice and peas, and my daughter ordered a curry goat with rice and peas. The meal comes with steamed cabbage and fried plantains. The food was absolutely delicious!!!

This restaurant is the most relaxing comfortable restaurant to eat at from as soon as you walk through the door. With the most friendly respectful staff and great food to eat especially the Oxtails, but the Jerk Chicken, Curry Chicken, Red Snapper, and definitely the Beef Patty with Cheese and Coco Bread. Oh my gosh the sides Rice and Beans, Cabbage, and Sweet Plantains are so good as well. Trust me I’m a regular customer ever since they opened up their doors recently and even before that when they were representing their business with giving plates away of their food for free and I respect that so much because that’s a great way to promote your business before it fully opens.

My Fiancé and I were visiting from Detroit, MI and had heard great things about Island Blaze Jamaican Restaurant—so we had to check it out. And oh my gosh, we were not disappointed!
We ordered the jerk chicken with rice and peas, festival, and jerk pork. Every bite was packed with flavor—the food was absolutely delicious! The drinks were just as impressive, and the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and beautifully put together.
The bathrooms were spotless (always a plus!), and we had the pleasure of meeting the owner, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The staff were professional, attentive, and made our experience even better.
We’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in town. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic Jamaican cuisine and top-tier hospitality!

I recently dined at your restaurant and wanted to share some honest feedback in the spirit of helping you improve and continue offering great food.
I ordered the rice dish with lentils (or a similar type of beans), and while the flavor was pleasant, the texture of the rice was extremely moist and clumpy — it almost stuck together in chunks. There were also very few lentils compared to the amount of rice, which affected the balance of the dish.
The meat I ordered was flavorful and tasty, but it was quite salty. I recommend using a lighter hand with the salt, as many customers today are increasingly mindful of their health and sodium intake. When food is overly salty, it can take away from the overall enjoyment, and people often end up feeling very thirsty afterward.
Please understand that this is not a negative review but rather a constructive suggestion. I truly enjoy Jamaican food and would be happy to return and try other dishes once some of these adjustments are made.

Island Blaze has finally arrived in Springfield, and it is no surprise that it has been a long-awaited addition to the city’s culinary scene. The oxtails are simply exceptional, and the snapper is equally breathtaking. Their Jamaican beef patties are arguably the most flavorful and well-seasoned beef patties I have ever had. They have been consistently improving, particularly since they announced the upcoming addition of Rasta pasta to their menu. There is no better place to enjoy a beer or two and savor the delicious flavors while being in a great atmosphere. What sets Island Blaze apart is its exceptional service. The staff is incredibly courteous and friendly, making the dining experience truly enjoyable.

Customer service was great! He was very polite. The food was really good. I had the pepper steak with white rice it was a little spicy for my liking but the steak was very tender. I also had the curry chicken which was on point full of flavor perfect amount of heat!The place is very clean! Can’t wait to try their oxtails!!

The food is great and the staff are very nice, respectful and friendly to the point that I would be there on a regular basis. The plate of Oxtail’s is so amazing that I love it so much!! And the bbq Ribs, Red Snapper fish, Jerky Chicken, Beef patty and cheese in a Coco Bread, Rice and Beans as well as the Cabbage with other vegetables in it is great to eat. Honestly know that your stomach will thank you so much for eating their food.

Simply Excellent! The atmosphere was very inviting and clean and the decor was well thought out. The staff interaction was great as they were very pleasant and presentable. I ordered the curried goat and fried chicken and I must say I was very pleased with the presentation and the taste (very authentic Jamaican meal). I would definitely recommend and I’ll be back!
