Avoid this place for espresso based drinks. Even though they have a great espresso machine, the current personnel is incompetent. I ordered a Cappuccino, they took my money and 2 minutes later told me they had ran out of milk. Instead of offering to refund me, they suggested oat or almondilk which I did not care for. So they offered instead to use half and half to make my cappuccino! I refused of course.
They seem quite incompetent. I converted to an Americano but even though it should be cheaper than a Cappuccino, they did not give me a refund. The $8 coffee I got was very acid and tasted terrible.

Sat here waiting for my order to be taken for over 10 minutes. Employees were too busy gossiping to do their job. Pretty sure they get paid to make food, not ignore customers and talk to each other. Came in around 1:30 on 12/17/25. It’s slow season, there’s literally nothing else for them to do besides their jobs.

Fantastic day on Fripp island South Carolina. It was so beautiful here. The staff was amazing. The pool was a little cool, but it was in March.
The entertainment was fantastic.
Great job, Fripp Island

The pizza was decent! I wouldn’t go to a food court and expect to order pizza-by-the-slice. There’s obviously better out there. But on Fripp, the convenience of the location and the quality for what it is (as well as price) really made this a decent stop.

The current staff at Island Bites that have been there the past couple months are so incredibly friendly. They could use some name tags so I could better recognize them because there is one young man and woman in particular that are so warm, welcoming, just amazingly personable. The young woman recognizes us every time we come in and remembers how much we love the chocolate soft serve ice cream. The young man was there on our last visit and did an amazing job multitasking and keeping everyone who was waiting happy and appreciated. He made sure the chicken tenders and fries we received were as fresh as possible. He told us to have a blessed day. We eat out very often and these customer service skills aren’t seen elsewhere. I hope they always keep doing what they are doing because it will bring them so much success. They are the only reason I am sad to be moving off of Fripp.

Loved Pickles and her team! She was always so friendly and took such great care of my family. Our last night we ran up there for ice cream and the place had already closed, she could’ve ignored we were there but instead she popped that door open and welcomed us and served us the best ice cream. Pickles is one of the reasons we love Fripp! Beautiful island, great security, and family friendly service. Thank you Pickles!!

The pizza here was sooooo much better then we’d expected! There was no where else to go after hurricane Helene went pretty closely by and we had no power. Due to power outage there weren’t many food options, pizza was great and the girl that made it was so sweet and friendly!

Ice cream has always been excellent. Cleanliness and kindness of staff varies. I always try to be cheerful…some days you get it back but most days you get an unenthusiastic smile. The manager was pretty nice the other day, bringing ice water while we ate ice cream. Be sure to have an amenity card ready. I haven’t tried the hot food (pizza or chicken) but I wouldn’t expect anything more than typical fast food quality. Good news for them is that you don’t have the luxury of options.

My four stars are certainly not for the pizza. For all the fellow reviewers here who are claiming the pizza is great: I’m sorry you haven’t had really delicious New York pizza. And my sister confirmed for me that it was not worth it as she finished eating a slice. [Getting a fresh slice out of the oven is the way to go, not one that’s been tanning under warming lights for who-knows-how-long.] I, however, trusted my eyes: the onion rings looked delicious, and they absolutely were. This was my first visit to Fripp Island. I stayed for a week, but I only stepped foot in this Food Court one time. Nevertheless, it is my strong personal opinion that the onion rings should be far more praised than the pizza (as of May 2021). Also, I’m seeing a lot of happy ice cream reviews here too, so I will remember to see what all the hype is about next time I visit Fripp: I enjoyed my stay on this island with my family and friends. ☺️
