This was our first time here and we came after school. Alma was our server and she was awesome! She was very friendly and very helpful with the menu and what we ordered. Definitely will back to try new things. The drinks were amazing and the food was good.

This was my first time trying Mexican sushi and it was a flavor bomb since it tasted similar to a fried sushi roll from a typical sushi place but with a Mexican twist which elevated the dish. The smoked marlin enchiladas (flour) with refried beans and rice was also delicious and the portion is huge like Texas to the point that I got full even with a large appetite. As for the chips and salsa, it was pretty good. Overall, I would come back again to try more dishes on the menu especially more of the Mexican sushi.

The service, food and drinks were amazing! The fun atmosphere was dripping with culture. A mariachi group arrived and played table to table. It was the whole package experience! This is a great place for any special occasion. And don’t worry, if you dont like seafood, they have a full menu of other items like birria, steak, carnitas, nachos to die for, and more!!!

really really good food and everything is very fresh. this place has the biggest menu I think I’ve ever seen with sushi and Mexican food and seafood. you will find things on this menu that you’ve never seen at a restaurant before. relatively cheap for what you get and some wonderful menu items. the only downside to this restaurant is it’s always Extremely Loud and the time that I went they had a mariachi band which made it even louder. but I’m sensitive to noise so that might just be me. very happening restaurant.

I finally got a chance, and it was on a Saturday night at 630PM, prime dinner time!
We ended up deciding on Isla del Mar after finding it too busy to eat downtown.
There was a wait, but it was only about 15 min, and it was busy! There was a live merriachi band playing in the restaurant. First time I had seen one. It was cool. It feels busy, but the good kind of busy. The food was amazing. I took home everything I couldn’t eat. The menu is so long, something for everyone, even my picky eater, and the prices are fair for the atmosphere and quality for sure!
The cevechie I had was amazing, with cooked shrimp, but I couldn’t remember which one there were many options.
The sushi boat option saved me 3 dollars on my rolls, and I got more!

I booked as an out of towner to meet family we had not seen in some time for dinner for my husband’s birthday dinner so we had a pretty large party of 13/14 older people. There was a bit of a language barrier w server and the main room was a bit loud but they ended up moving us to the back which worked pretty well. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating and It’s a really cute restaurant. Everything we had was genuinely fantastic and pricing very fair- my husband and I will definitely go back again when we are back in town.
