First visit today. Amazing atmosphere, people, and the food. Well, the food is stellar, out of this world! Our first, but definitely not last visit. We will absolutely positively drive the 2 1/2 hours to come back just for this restaurant.

I don’t think I’ve ever had better fries! Also enjoyed the chimichanga. Family had burgers and they loved them! We destroyed our food

Overall great experience and really good food. Staff was nice but I do feel like I was nickel and dimmed and taken advantage of when it came time to pay for three dipping sauces. They charged more than McDonald’s does for sauce and they have a mushroom Swiss burger on the menu that does not mention it is vegetarian and when you Ask for a regular mushroom Swiss they charge you the 11.50 as seen on the menu +5.25 for a meat patty which is absurd. Will not be back because of the bill. Hopefully they figure it out and get it taken care of at that time. I will be happy to eat here again.

We didn’t start out there, but dinner at Ishy’s Grill last night was so delicious!
We went down the mountain to try the new Asian restaurant, Hokkie. Apparently, so did the rest of Rabun County: The line there went around the lobby and out the door. And this is still the soft opening! (Sign says they’re still ramping up staff and service is slow.)
So we stood in the parking lot, looked around, and decided on Ishy’s Grill.
They’re without their beer and wine license at the moment. But the food and friendly servers more than made up for that.
I had the ribeye and fried okra, and the tomato basil soup. Hubby chose salad and the pork chop and fried okra. I admit, his was tastier than mine! I have never tasted a better bone-in pork chop. Never.
The presentation was beautiful. The menu’s diverse options cater to every picky family member: seafood, pasta, salads, and a good selection of dessert options.
We look forward to visiting again, when they have their license. Just one street off 441 in downtown Clayton.

Maps suggested Ishy’s when we discovered our favorite Mexican restaurant was closed. It was after 1PM, lunch rush was over. Parking was somewhat difficult to find, we thought that might be a good indicator.
Seating was fast, space was large and very comfortable. Service was excellent, attentive and friendly.
Meals (chicken burrito and dinner salad) arrived in a reasonable time and had excellent presentation. Meals actually included more sides than noted on the menu. All signs pointed to a very pleasant meal ahead.
Both meals were totally bland and tasteless. I cannot remember ever having a burrito that tasted like cardboard. It was a total letdown. And to top it off, the burrito was room temp. I cannot remember being so disappointed. Maybe their grill items are better. Maybe it was the wrong time of the day. But we will not be going back there for Mexican food.

This was a One and Done for me. Very very slow service. It took 30 minutes just to get our chips and salsa. I’m not sure why a Mexican flair is being advertised as there is absolutely nothing Mexican about it. Stale tortilla chips and salsa that tasted like spaghetti sauce. Ordered the appetizer chorizo queso that came out in a burnt black hoagie roll with maybe 2 tablespoons of cheese and charred chorizo inside. The burrito was sad, lots of hot slimey lettuce inside, and was more like soup. French fries were so greasy and drenched in oil. We left with our stomachs hurting.

The food was excellent!! The salsa was delicious and different, the salad was very fresh and crispy. My New Orleans pasta with shrimp and pepper Joe sausage was the absolute best ever! Highly recommend a visit to this 5star restaurant!

This place first opened in the corner of an inside flea market and they served some great good. Now in their new location they still have a simple menu of popular Mexican dishes and now some awesome nightly specials. Tonight I had blackened salmon on a bed of rice and sauteed veggies with a sweet balsamic vinaigrette drissle. An incredible dish.
4/19/21. This place is still amazing. Awesome food, elegant and delightful staff. New Orleans Shrimp and Caesar salad.
4/26/21. Grilled veggies panini with pesto sauce. Super yum
