Mediterranean is one of my favorite cuisines, having eaten it all across the world I can say this is very authentic. The flavors are very well balanced, produce was fresh and they took great care in their presentation. If I could critique one thing, I wish they had at least one dessert that’s made in house, the baklava is bought not made here.

We stopped in around 4p on a Saturday and ordered the kid’s gyro with fries and fountain drink, an order of kuupa, a beef kabob, and the lamb chunk combo (with rice) with a hot tea. All of it was amazing! Cute little place. It looked like it was just a couple of people working so we weren’t anticipating anything fast since we ordered a bit but it all came out fresh and delicious! Really happy we stopped into this little unassuming place! Be sure to check them out!!!

We weren’t even planning to go out to eat when visiting Fargo but we were passing this place and it looked too good not to try. Our intuition was good. We got the beef shawarma wrap and lentil soup and they both were great! My wife said it’s the best lentil soup she’s had at a restaurant. The people working were super kind. We went up to them at the end and thanked them for the food.

First time visiting and I loved it. Seemed like a tough day for staff. Wait for the food was a bit long, but understandable given the circumstances. Ordered Mezza Platter, Beef Gyro Entree and a chicken gyro sandwich. Will return!

I want to say first and foremost, the food was GREAT! However, it took us over an hour (we placed our order around 630 and got our food around 745) to get a beef gyro and chicken schwarma. The tables were all dirty and it looked like one lady doing everything. The clutter of dirty dishes was unappealing but I understood somewhat if it truly is one lady. After waiting over an hour, our food was brought out, and not even the slightest of an apology was offered for the delay (or a heads up it was going to take that long would have been OK too.)

Today was not the first time I’ve eaten at Ishtar, but it had been awhile. As with every other time, the food was excellent. This time the wait was particularly long, but the gentleman working both the counter and kitchen was very apologetic and gracious. And the food was well worth the wait.
