First off good luck being able to think clearly over the loud Brittany spears songs playing. Secondly NOTHING on the menu was available. Went for sushi, they no longer serve sushi (might I suggest the owner change the name and take down the photos advertising all your non existent sushi). Decided on ramen, they didn’t have ramen. Decided on hibachi chicken they asked if we wanted soup or salad, we decided on soup. Waitress comes back with salads that aren’t even fresh and says sorry we don’t have soup. We paid go out one drink and left it was absolutely ridiculous.

I ordered hibachi trio meat with steak chicken and shrimp I only got 4 shrimp when I ask the waitress how many shrimp should come with the trio she varified it with manager and that is all you get. REALLY I have been to several Japanese restaurants that give you more shrimp . Also the rice did not taste like fried rice and it did not have eggs in it . I got sweet and spicy wings those were great. If you’re going to charge 15.00 for a trip make it make sense .

Well I hate to do this but for a re reopen, we were let down. When you enter it is very gray, everywhere. It feels very mismatched and spread out unevenly. The music was loud and kept having issues, that had this loud beeping sound then loud squeeking sound. When placing our order the had no tea, then when going to place a order from the NEW menu I was told the item I was trying to get they are no longer doing and are changing it. So I had to pick something else. The menu isn’t very large to being with. So after waiting awhile and I mean awhile, the people next to us who got seated after us received their food and had been eating already. They another waitress comes out to say, oh we don’t have chicken tender for you son, would he eat something else? So another item they did not have. So we had to wait longer. While the people next to us were almost done with their food. By the time we got our food it was ok, nothing that amazing. My sons burger was oddly shaped and very small. There wasn’t a whole lot of flavor in the noodle dish I got and there was sauce all over the side of my plate. Now I genuinely give places the benefit of the doubt but our table still had cup rings on it, our food took forever when they were not that busy, and a bunch of items they did not have in stick. As well as change in menu with nothing listed about menu change. I hope they do well but for us this is a pass. This is our second home trying. Good luck to them and maybe this was a bad day but for us two times is good enough for us.

Me and my significant other went into the restaurant about a week ago, we order some drinks at lunchtime. They said they were too busy after 30 minutes to even give us an our drinks, so that we had to drink pretty much water because no alcoholic beverages were going to be sold. Also, they had no miso soup and no salad whatsoever know if that’s one of your main things that go with everything when you take a Restaurant would be prepared since it was only 11:45 in the morning. I’m only guessing the manager came over to bring our appetizer which came after our meal and said that this was for the fact that they messed up and still charged us for it and we said nothing we just paid for everything and left. The Worst Japanese Restaurant I’ve ever been to in my whole entire life.

Just left this place. Amazing food. Expensive type quality but reasonable price. Will be returning.

Sorry I couldn’t wait to try my take out order of Maki C (cooked) from the Sushi Bar side of the menu to take a foodie pic!! Let me just tell you….OMG it was delicious and so worth wait!!! If you’re a sushi novice… having a grab-n-go California Roll from the grocery store…go treat yourself! The price might seem a bit high, but considering the amount of food…come on! The rolls are twice the thickness, if not more, of those scrawny prepackaged things!! The girls working the take out counter are friendly and can answer any questions you might have. Since I was a walk-in, just after 5PM, & my rolls were cooked, it took about 20 minutes, or so, to get my order in hand. From all of the orders bagged up and waiting, plus the phone nearly ringing off the hook, IF you want to grab take-home, I suggest checking out the menu online, and calling 30 minutes ahead of your showing up. I can’t really comment on the atmosphere, other than the aesthetics, because it was early in the week, at the start of dinner service, and there were only a handful of tables seated. From what I saw, hence the 4 Stars (for now), it’s clean, well lit, and slightly sports bar-ish with a different game on each of the tv’s and a pool table towards the back. It wasn’t loud like at B Dubs, but even with a full house I doubt it would be. With the exception on some nights because….There’s also room for entertainment. No spoilers, go and check it out yourself!! Be sure to visit the Sushi Bar and watch your meal be prepared right in front of you if you have the time to sit, relax, and enjoy a cocktail!

To be fair, this is a new restaurant and they rushed to open it and it shows in atmosphere, appearance and experience. Give it another month or two to get things right and looking better. The food was good.

It wasn’t authentic Japanese food. I’ll continue to visit Sappari in Greenville or Kanki in Raleigh.
