Everything about this place is pure class. Quality ingredients, tasty menu, and cozy atmosphere. Isabelle’s cooking is on par with Michelin chefs. I have had a million croissants in my life, and Isabelle’s is the best I have ever had. Visiting Wakefield for a weekend, and we ate here twice. Can’t wait to come back!

Isabelle Bistroquet in Wakefield is one of the most beautiful and thoughtful dining experiences I’ve had. The food was incredible, the atmosphere warm and inviting, and every detail felt intentional. It’s the perfect place to gather with friends or family—truly a gem.

Super cute little restaurant in Wakefield. Brought my daughter here as her name is also Isabelle. We both really enjoyed our meals. Super friendly service. We had a lovely time.

We stopped in for a little lunch and are so glad we did. Isabelle is an incredible food, wine and service experience. Isabelle herself is cook, server and sommelier. She has a brilliant wine selection – one of the best we came across during our time back in Canada. The space is very cute and the food menu, whilst contained, was perfect for this 1-woman operation. We had a lovely orange wine, the braised pear salad (perfect for our gluten free / vegetarian), the quiche and a ham and cheese croissant. Dishes were fresh, balanced and beautifully presented. There is a level of care and quality that’s hard to find in most places we’ve encountered during our stay. We hope Isabelle is here for many years to come and we’ll def return when we’re next here.

What a wonderful gem in dear Wakefield
Had a gorgeous lunch in a cosy ambiance… the Toulouse ragout and quiche were delicious and the French Onion Beet Soup is an absolute must!
Isabelle is charming and attentive.
So lovely to try the orange wine, merci
Will definitely be back, hopefully for private dining with the girls.
Well done Isabelle, authenticity is the highest vibration

This is a special spot. An atmosphere so cozy you feel like you’re sitting in a friend’s living room, which is then only amplified by the attentive but comfortable service. And then the food. Wow. We went for brunch a few weeks ago and I’m still thinking about the pumpkin tartine. There is so much attention, care, and love that is clearly being poured into every part of this restaurant. Do yourself a favour and go to Isabelle.

Isabell’s place is incredible. Warm and cozy design. Three different seating areas, each with its own pleasant vibe.
Isabelle is extremely nice and welcoming. Her freshly baked creations are delightful and definitely hit the spot. Coffee is VERY good too. We came here twice during our visit to the area and definitely will come back in the future. Highly recommend.

This review comes a little late as I didn’t think it would be necessary to give such a perfect place 5 stars, as there is no need to convince others how amazing this place is.

After seeing the location receive a negative review due to the lack of understanding a menu in french by a “local” and receiving a 1 star made me feel that I had to come here and explain that there is no reason why you wouldn’t be able to use your skills as a human being to ask for “help”. The fact that the person had the resources to type such a negative review and couldn’t simply use their time to “google” such a simple menu translation goes to show how unkind people are.

Back to the topic of the establishment. The owner of the restaurant and the rest of their team put their literal life and love into this place, from the greenery, to the decor, to the menu to the acquisition of the FRESH ingredients from real locals.

You have to give this hidden gem a try if you’re in the area for a visit or a local.

We stopped for lunch and the experience was fantastic all around. Someliere on site guide you with wine choices and the menu even though small, offers a great variety of unique dishes. Great discovery.

Cutest little café! An owner, chefette and baker with an amazing background and incredible. The cinnamon bunn was to die for and the pasta was fresh and summery. Absolute must try if you are in Wakefield.
