Welcome to Isaan Der. Isaan, pronounced (esan) is one of the largest regions in Northeastern Thailand comprised of 20 different provinces. Come and visit us and see how we are a ‘different’ Thai restaurant. Most of our dishes are made just for you. Like it spicy or mild , the choice is yours. We use the freshest of ingredients in all of our dishes. We have a NO reservations policy but larger groups (5+ people) are highly encouraged to give us a call beforehand so we know you are coming and will do our very best and try to accommodate you.

This was my first visit to Isaan Der, and I honestly wish I had come sooner. The flavours were authentic and the quality was excellent (confirmed by our Thai friend in the group!).
We ordered several dishes to share, and everything was delicious. My favourite was the Pla Tod (marinated deep-fried basa fillet) — definitely try it if it’s available!
We also had a lovely chat with Chef Ko, a Thai Select award winner, which made the experience even better. She was so warm and friendly. I’ll definitely be back!

This spot has been on my must try list for quite some time. One of my good friends LOVES this restaurant and has always spoken so highly of Chef Ko. We gathered here for a dinner recently. Chef Ko made excellent suggestion on what dishes to order. The presentation here is incredible. Everything is made in House with fresh ingredients. Chef even shared that hehr wok came right from Thailand to keep it authentic. I LOVE Panang curry and this was 100% the best I’ve EVER had. We even had one in our group who had an aversion to Thai food. She loved each and every dish, stating that she should have tried this spot first, opposed to the other ‘thai’ places she had previously .

The food is bursting with authentic Thai flavors, especially Papaya Salad and Kang Phed which were perfectly balanced between spicy, sour, and fresh. The staff are warm and attentive, and the atmosphere feels cozy yet lively. Great spot for sharing dishes with friends or a casual dinner date. Highly recommend if you’re craving real Thai food in Toronto!

The food here tastes just like you’re in Thailand — full of flavor and cooked perfectly. Not to mention the presentation of some menu is incredibly creative! The drinks are also great and go well with the meals, especially the cocktails.

Isaan Der has multiple locations around the GTA, but the Junction location is my favourite spot for Thai cuisine in the neighbourhood. The atmosphere here is cozy with their warm color scheme and lighting, and the staff here is super friendly.
Like all restaurants, there may be an occasional off day, but 9/10 times the food here does the job in satisfying my Thai cravings with well prepared, and beautifully presented dishes.
They have an extensive menu of appetizers, soups, noodles, curries, and seafood dishes offering something just about every palate. Because several items on the menu has caught my attention, I’ve been making an effort to try something new with each visit, and have not yet been disappointed.
The restaurant can get pretty busy during weekend dinner hours, but most of the time you can walk in without a reservation. The restaurant is also not wheelchair accessible.

Stunning and incredible food and service. My friend almost fainted from how good the experience was. The food healed our friendship and gave us wings to fly above the horizon of the culinary landscape. Our resident angel and server, Jay, was an example of true and delightful customer service. Delicious authentic Thai food. We enjoyed the food and hospitality from Chef Ko and her husband Don. We had a plate of different appetizer finger foods to try, a papaya salad, mango sticky rice, their homemade coconut ice cream, shrimp pad see ew and green curry fish. Everything was so delicious. They also have the famous Thai singha beer on tap! Highly recommend this restaurant.
