Great place to stop in for lunch. Sandwiches are always good, love the pickled veggies they put out. Michelle was very friendly and personable waitress.

Should check the place out if in the area.

Okay food, absolutely terrible value. Literally nowhere else comes to mind where you get less for what you pay.
Here is my $18 meal – it was a 5 inch sandwich that was mostly just bread with maybe 2-3 oz of meat. I thought I got pranked when I opened this, I asked where the other half was…. this was it for $18. That “sandwich” and a $0.10 bag of chips and a small pickle.

We had a great experience and the food was good! They have great variety and everyone could find something that they liked, and desserts were great as well. The only reason it wasn’t 5 starts is that I would rather the food be served all at once rather than in shifts so everyone finished eating at different times and made entertaining kids a bit more difficult.
(Also they are not as easy to eat gluten free as they were in the past)

T …is a great ambassador for this restaurant. She is more than a good food service performer, she is a guide to the enjoyment of your Issac’s experience. My wife got a club (couldn’t finish) and pesto tortilni salad. I got a buffalo chicken salad. All the food was pretty solid, not perfect but good at that price point. The restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. Good place, would come here again if in area again.

Isaac’s is one of our favorite restaurants. We were saddened when the one in Hummelstown closed as we had made friends with Odie and Sharon. Coming back from Manheim,we decided to go to Stauffers in Mt Joy. We spotted Isaac’s and decided to stop in for lunch. Imagine our surprise when we asked who the Manager was and were told Odie but had just left! Anyway, we ordered my favorite.. Twisted Chicken on a Pretzel Roll with “plenty of tomatoes!” My partner had a Mallard on a Pretzel Roll. Both were exceptional and so was the service. It has the old style decor with plenty of color. There is outside dining with handicapped parking in the front. It is located at the other end of the shopping center. Odie, we will be back!

The soup-and-half-sandwich combo with chips was just the right size. Pepper jack tomato soup great as always. Like the complementary pickles.

Ok, normally we have good sandwiches and typically get our favorites, but yesterday I tried something different (to go), the Black Heron. Roast beef on French bread.
I was so disappointed that I called back to complain.

It was a sloppily slapped-together, kid-sized sandwich for $10. I measured it. 4 inches. My chief complaint was the value. I felt cheated. Even the cup of tomato soup was tiny for what you pay. Luckily, I had a free coupon.

Isaac’s has been a favorite for us: good alternative to fast-food, a local company, nice waitstaff.
Just need to work on their sandwich- value.

A warmed up roast beef and cheddar sandwich with a small bag of chips and a small pickle for $15.00 is insanity….this is Isaac’s. I get times are tough but that’s ridiculous. Feeding two people little more than a sandwich and a few chicken tenders for $43.33. I feel like I just got robbed.

We went here for dinner and we was seated where we could see into the kitchen. Never have I seen a more dirty kitchen in an establishment. The floor had paper scattered allover it. No attempt to clean anything up was made. My husband and I were both appalled. We left immediately. The manager was made known of this by my husband.

I go this place quite often and have lived the area my entire life. The truth is there is nowhere that has worse value for your money. But that’s not even the worst part, the service at this location is TERRIBLE. I don’t know if they are understaffed to the max or what. But today I waited 30 minutes for 2 kids meals. About 7 or 8 people walked in and out without being seated. The service is just horrendous. Even the guy who was taking orders was slow. Safe to say i’ve had enough isaac’s for awhile
