This restaurant is absolutely the best. Ohan and Mourad are so kind and hospitable. All of the food is spectacular, but the chicken shawarma, baba ganouj, muhamarra, basil hummus and stuffed grape leaves are truly something special in my opinion. They make everything fresh and the flavors are incredible. Whenever I’m in Irvington my friends and family request that I pick up extra. We have also ordered catering for multiple Christmas parties and the platters are always LICKED CLEAN! We order chicken shawarma over rice, hummus platter, stuffed grape leaves, and mediterranean salad platter and our guests absolutely rave about the food. Would recommend a million times over.

My order – Lentil soup, Fries, and tzatziki
Let’s start off with the good the tzatziki was decent and the pita
That’s about the only pleasant thing from my order
Fries – unseasoned and not their usual steak fries I’m used to
The lentil soup didn’t even look like lentil soup
the lentils were disintegrated and the soup was watered down
The guy working had a bit of an attitude
I hope this place changes because I was disappointed

I don’t even like olives, tomatoes, or onions but this salad is life changing. Pics don’t do it justice.
Earlier this week I paid $18 for a salad from Chopt and it was so wet that it resembled soup. Very hit or miss there.
But this place? You can taste the freshness. The meat is tender, the lettuce is crisp, the tomatoes are just the right amount of salty.
It’s $18 for a Greek salad + lamb gyro and it’s going to become my go-to whenever I’m in the area. And, the walk up the hill to get there is a Rockwell painting. Plus, the family that works there is very nice. Truly, Irvington Delight lives up to the name!

Delicious and refreshing chicken shawarma wrap with lettuce, maybe beets, with such a good garlic tzatziki sauce. Loved the soft wrap too. Got it at the farmer’s market in Katonah wrapped in tin foil and ready to go. Only drawback was it was tiny, would have loved a larger portion for $13. Would try the lamb next time.

I absolutely love this restaurant with all my heart. Talk about authentic! Growing up, I frequently would visit middle eastern restaurants with my family. We were always looking for the most authentic food (love a good baba ganouj). Upon moving to westchester, a local recommended this place to me. I was absolutely blown away of how good the food was and it instantly became a favorite! Definitely recommend 🙂

We have never been to Irvington Delight’s restaurant but have often enjoyed their delicious falafel sandwiches as well as their homemade hummus and other delicious treats at local farmer’s markets in White Plains ( on Wednesday’s ) and Scarsdale. Their food is fantastic and we are looking forward to going to their restaurant too!

The Falafel and Shawarma are top notch but the real stars are the Kibbe, Hummus, and Tabouleh. It is sooo hard to find good authentic versions of these outside Yonkers and Paterson and Irvington Delight absolutely delivers. I highly recommend it.
Staff is super friendly and helpful as well which gives this place a great neighborhood vibe. Whether you want a quick lunch or a hearty dinner you can find everything you need here!

falafel sandwich was over filled with sauce so the taste was not good and unbalanced
vegetarian grape leaves were tasteless with cinnamon spice over riding all other flavors

What an amazing experience. The food, the staff everything. The chicken shawarma was unbelievable. The staff was so friendly and the owner even took time out his very busy day to thank me personally for doing business there. What a wonderful place run by a wonderful human being.
