As for the food, I found it acceptable for tavern food- but nothing that wowed me- however, I was excited to see they offered fried green tomatoes- which were quite good. The scallops and pasta was underwhelming however, the scallops had a nice sear. It was just served over a huge heap of bland pasta.
To begin, the atmosphere is sophisticated yet comfortable, making it suitable for a formal date or a casual visit after a round of golf. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, with a partial view of the stunning golf course. Regardless of where you sit, the standard remains high.
Next, the food was impeccable. The dishes were moderately portioned with extensive flavors that made each bite delightful. I found myself eating more slowly to savor every bite. After sampling a variety of options, from the Tuscan Salmon to the Vegetable Bolognese, I can confidently say you can’t go wrong with any choice.
Lastly, the service enhanced the dining experience. Our waitress was kind and attentive, a quality often overlooked in many restaurants today. The only minor suggestion I have is to offer more local drinks on draft.
Overall, this is a perfect five-star establishment that I will be revisiting soon.
The place is pretty open and it was packed, so it was loud. Not unbearably loud, but you had to elevate your voice significantly to talk. It looks like they tried addressing it – as there are acoustic panels on the ceiling.
Waitress was good. Other staff were friendly.
Finally, another place that is actually good on the west side.
My wife and I had a nice dinner here, while scoping out a place to later treat our kids and grandkids to a nice Christmastime dinner.
We definitely approved, and later reserved a table for 7, plus 2 highchairs for a Saturday evening. I called one hour prior to add 2 more seats for my folks, who had referred us there in the first place. No problem -the host was most accommodating. Atmosphere was warm and ‘glowy’, with a nice window view of the lit-up snow-covered pines. 3 shared appetizers and a couple rounds of cocktails were very good. Dinners took just over an hour to arrive, but we didn’t mind, knowing they were busy.
My ribeye and Dad’s beef filet were quite good, but my wife and a few others ordered the Steak Marsala special, which all turned out to be very grizzly. The bigger problem was Mom’s disappointment with her tiny salmon portion, which was supposed to be 8 oz, but looked closer to a 4 oz, piece, served in the middle of a big empty plate where they forgot to put her roasted root vegetables. Dad called it a ‘$27 minnow’ !
The veg came out after, and we chipped in some steak from our plates so she’d have enough to eat, but I’m not sure they will go back.
I like the place, and will be back, but will not be buying a gift card there for Mom & Dad, nor ordering the 8 oz salmon.
Overall 5 stars… We will be back
