My Aunt died recently and her funeral was in Franklin KY. We booked a room at the Mint hotel for the night and set a reservation to eat dinner at The Iron Steakhouse. The medium cooked Porterhouse steak that our waiter Jaylen recommended to me was the best steak I have ever eaten in my life. It surpassed steaks from high end steak houses that I have eaten costing close to the $100 mark. I literally ate it as slow as possible to enjoy it for as long as possible. Thanks you Jaylen for giving me a little comfort in a bad time in my life. Ask for Jaylen he is an excellent host!

Dining at the restaurant inside The Mint Casino felt like a truly sophisticated experience. The atmosphere was stylish and welcoming, the food was excellent, and the service was top-tier. Our server, Susannah, was fantastic—every recommendation she made, we followed, and she didn’t miss it once. From the specialty Winners Circle cocktail to the perfectly cooked prime rib and even the green beans, everything was absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be returning!

Both times that I came in here. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. I decided to sit st the bar. I got a menu right away. The atmosphere is wonderful. The lighting is a little dark but not terribly dark. The food was amazing, I do recommend eating here. Everyone was friendly with the customers and themselves. The free bread with the butter is worth it.

We are steakhouse connoisseurs and tried this place for the first time while celebrating a friend’s birthday. We were a party of 11 and had a private room, and admittedly we came in a bit skeptical due to the mixed reviews. That said, the experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The steaks were cooked perfectly, the salads were fresh, and as a group we sampled almost every side dish on the menu. Everything was excellent, and we had no complaints. We will definitely be back.

We 5 have been to this restaurant just to eat. It’s always been delicious. We planned another trip and went Saturday night. We have never been as disappointed as we were that night.
I ordered a prime rib… I’m pretty sure it wasnt even a prime rib???? It was charred on the outside and raw on the inside. I ate 3 bites but couldn’t again. 2 of my friends ordered chicken parmesan… it was burnt also… sauce must have sat in the window until it went dry.
My husband ordered a ribeye… it was so cold he stopped eating it.
We had to ask for bread at our table and drinks 3 times… 4 times for a coke.
To think we drive over to this great food and get what we got…. I’m still disappointed!!

My wife and I really enjoy steak dinners and thought we’d give this place a try. It’s located within The Mint Gaming Hall as most casinos have steak houses. The staff was great and the restaurant was super clean. But I can honestly say that the food was just okay, especially since it’s fairly expensive. My wife enjoyed her filet, but my strip steak, although cooked a nice medium, was grisly in spots and just left me wanting something better at the prices this place charges. The deep-fried asparagus was good enough, and the desserts went over pretty well with us both. Adult beverages are reasonably priced and made a bit strong. Cool. Overall we had a decent meal, but at about $180 total for two dinners, we’ll likely not circle back any time soon.

This restaurant is a hidden gem! It is inside the Mint Gaming hall, just inside the main entrance, easy to find and plenty of parking. It has the feel of a high-end restaurant, The staff is amazing and very friendly. My wife and I started off with the stuffed mushrooms. They are stuffed with prime rib and are in a bowl with a red wine reduction, and they’re delicious. I had the New York strip, which is my go-to steak choice, and let me say it was probably the best steak I have ever had. (No need for steak sauce on this one) as a side, I had the corn casserole and aspereragus almondine, they were both great and I highly recommend either option. My wife had the prime rib and it was the most tender steak that I have ever tasted, I usually don’t prefer prime rib but I will be getting this the next time, she also had the sweet potato hash as a side and it was to die for. The food, staff and atmosphere was top notch. Only 30 mins from Nashville this is a must stop if your heading up I-65. highly recommend Irons Steak House

I was staying at the Mint hotel for the weekend and my and my friends decided to stop in here for dinner one night. Once you fight your way through the god awful cigarette smoke (from the casino) when you initially walk in the door and you get into the steakhouse entrance you can’t smell that smoke anymore thank goodness.
The waiter we had was not super attentive, I went without water multiple times and it took quite a long time for us to get drinks we had ordered. Multiple things we had ordered were wrong or just never showed up the table.
They do bring out rolls and flavored butter to the table. The rolls weren’t bad, but nothing special. I had ordered the ribeye with shrimp, and asparagus & fries on the side. The asparagus was okay, and the fries were pretty good as well. The steak was the best part though. It was seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The dinner was a little expensive, for just me it ended up being ~$100.
Fries – 8.2/10
Asparagus – 7/10
Shrimp – 9/10
Ribeye – 8.9/10

The service and food were mediocre at best. We waited 30 minutes to put in a drink order. Food eventually came out cold, even the baked potatoes were cold. Filet would have been pretty good if not cold. Server was friendly but not fast. Only positives were the bread and the bar made a good Chocolate Old Fashioned.

We went on a Thursday night, only one other couple was sitting at a booth; everyone else was seated at the bar. We were seated immediately, our server came over with menus, we ordered right away and were offered bread while we waited on the food. About 15 mins later our food came out with our drink orders. We both had the burger, we were thrown off by the “bun” of the burger, so a solid 5/10. The steak fries i believe they were called were good.
Good the spicy margarita for drink which was good!
