There were 2 other people in the whole restaurant and we stood there with no one to greet us. We ended us being told by the cook or bus boy to sit where we wanted. Abby, the afternoon waitress, asked that we move from where we were sitting because she would lose us at sitting at a table 2 over. I told her we were fine where we were because there was no reason she would lose us because she now knows where we are. This made no sense to me. She walked away, not even asking what we wanted to drink, went over to the kitchen, and started complaining about how slow it was and us not wanting to move.

The waitress was nice but overwhelmed. She just had a lunch rush come thru. It’s a big seating area, with very late 80s decor… The food was ok. Some food was lacking in flavor, and others were too salty to eat. Out of everything, the pancakes were the best item.

We were there the night of Thursday 6/1 at 8:26PM. Even though it was late, there were MANY tables full and people waiting to be seated. Abby was the wait staff that handled everything wonderfully. She was not stressed about being all by herself in the whole restaurant. Her wonderful personality was outstanding during our meal. She was cheerful and did a great job. The food was great for over-the-road fare and reasonably priced.

Went here on Valentine’s Day because we were passing through. Food was sooo good. What a surprise. Steerburger steak and eggs were delicious. Added gravy and upgraded to perfectly cooked loaded hash browns. My wife’s sirloin was super tender and tasty. Service was excellent. Enough adjectives for ya? Just go there if you are in the area.

Came in at 7am waitress had attitude right from the get go. Lots of chatting with the cook and playing on her phone. I’m just done with iron skillet it’s just not this one it seems to be most of them. When paying for the meal she sure was staring at me wanting me to Wright a good tip.

I regret to say that the cleanliness of Iron Skillet restaurant was far from satisfactory. The tables and floors appeared dirty, and the restroom facilities were not well-maintained. It was off-putting to dine in an environment that did not meet basic hygiene standards. The lack of attention to cleanliness greatly impacted my dining experience, and I would hesitate to return or recommend the restaurant to others.

So not impressed! For the price we paid, you’d think a full size salad would be bigger than a dinner salad. The Chicken Fajita Burrito was tasteful, but really our bill was over $40! Just not worth the price.
