It’s your classic, all-American comfort food spot — familiar flavors and a straightforward menu that delivers exactly what you’d expect.
When we visited, it wasn’t busy at all, which made for a really relaxed experience. Our food came out quickly and tasted good — nothing overly fancy, but satisfying and enjoyable.
We’ve been in the area several times before, so having the upstairs space almost entirely to ourselves was a refreshing change of pace. It felt calm, unhurried, and a nice break from the usual buzz.
The service was another highlight. Our server was genuinely friendly and checked in just enough to make sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive.
Overall, a solid, easygoing option if you’re looking for dependable American fare in a comfortable setting.

Such a lovely brunch at Iron Rooster. The service was superb, and for a Saturday mid-morning the wait wasn’t bad at all. The atmosphere is warm and home-style, farm-like in the best way, like sitting in your grandma’s cozy farm cottage.
I had the Veggie Garden omelet with home fries that were crunchy on the outside yet pillowy soft inside. My son ordered the blackened chicken ravioli (recommended by our sweet waitress), and the cheeses were perfectly paired— rich but not overpowering, with a lovely earthy balance. My husband enjoyed the smoked brisket chili omelet, which was hearty and full of flavor. We shared the brown sugar Roostart, and it was outstanding: flaky, buttery pastry, the perfect amount of filling, and a glaze that was absolutely divine. We’ll definitely be back.

We found this place for breakfast and ended up eating there two mornings in a row! One of the best home cooked breakfasts we have found. Generous portions, eggs perfectly scrambled firm (for me) and wet (for hubby). Best hash browns ever — thinly sliced and the perfect combination of crunchy crusts and soft, tasty insides. Bacon and sausage were super yummy as well. This is definitely our new breakfast gig in Annapolis for future visits.

When three separate people recommend a place to eat, I listen, and I am so glad that I did, because Iron Rooster lived up to its reputation! Visited on a busy midday Saturday, and didn’t have to wait for an upstairs table. Gabby did a great job helping us with the huge menu. Loved my Southwest Salad with chicken. Great interior, and only a block from the Naval Academy and State House.

Sat on the 2nd floor. We had reservations for 8 on a Saturday. Cameron was our waiter. He was amazing. I also had a Bloody Mary but drank it too fast for a pic. We all thought food and drink and service was amazing. Thank you so much. Pics are cakes on cakes. The waffle burger and the maple old fashioned (which needed a crispy bacon garnish) but still was delicious.

So delicious, everything is fresh and delicious. I often crave their Roost tarts. This is a very kid friendly restaurant and we’ve always had great service. My only complaint is how much the prices have gone up, I realize they have prime real estate but it’s a bummer an omelette with some fix ins is $18+. Regardless we’ll still always recommend this spot and enjoy bringing friends and family here.

I felt like for the price (compared to other Annapolis breakfasts), my breakfast portions were actually pretty small. I only got 2 pieces of bacon and like the French toast was 1 slice. My friend liked the rooster bites. It was good overall food, & the cinnamon roll bites were nice, although I wanted them to be a little stickier/heated up.

The food was fantastic. We sat at the bar and it was great ambience. The service was great, very friendly and made one of the best pomegranate martinis I have ever had. Also great specials and affordable.

My husband and I had a great breakfast here! There was a line outside but our wait was less than 10 minutes. The staff was very friendly and polite. Our server Amber was wonderful. I had the pineapple mimosa and waffle with eggs and bacon. My husband had crab Benedict. Both delicious. Definitely a must for breakfast or brunch.

Very popular and very busy place on the Saturday morning we went for breakfast. Great menu, serving up a good variety of dishes. I opted for the cornedbeef hash, which was pretty decent. They also had a good drink menu for breakfast. Nice outside dining, and great service
