I give out many 5 star reviews. Usually unless something is horrendous I feel as though most places deserve it. This review is beyond 5 stars. Most places were completely “booked” due to the event at the Appel Center. This was the second place we walked into that said that they were unable to seat us due to their reservations. Not a huge deal but as we were walking out we were stopped by a woman named Fran who stated she was the manager and that she absolutely has a table for us which she stated wasn’t the best seat but a seat nonetheless. We were seated at a table which honestly wasn’t the best as it had a huge base that made sitting a little awkward but honestly it didn’t matter. Fran basically waited on us the entire meal while also doing just about everything else in the place. I’ve honestly only ever had service this great one other time and I think that speaks a lot about a place by itself. Highly recommend this place based on service alone. Thanks again Fran.

Liz was great…friendly and attentive.
Got the chicken chzsteak. One piece of chicken was on the colder side …..makes me think this is pre -made and they microwave it. Haha. Less than to be desired. Not a good meat to bread ratio… Overall just blah. Fries were ok.. Would be 2 stars if not for Liz

My wife, daughter and I had a great experience. The food was delicious and a beautiful rustic/ industrial atmosphere. I’d highly recommend and checking this place out. Perfectly placed downtown!

I was in the area working and stopped at Iron Horse for a light dinner. No wait time for a table which was good. Nice atmosphere. Service was a bit slow but it didn’t bothered me cause I could see she was busy, rushing and trying her best. I went with Bang Bang Shrimp and mashed potatoes. Certainly the BEST Bang Bang Shrimps I’ve had and mashed potato was delicious. Food was hot which is a big thing for me. Decent prices. Will definitely be stopping by again if I’m in the area. Worth it! Highly recommended.

We were greeted by Fran, like other reviews say – she is amazing. Atmosphere is good and was quiet on a weekday evening. We were early for pizza but had good Bang Bang Shrimp, Buffalo Calamari. Our burgers were good too, make sure to add bacon for $2+. Dessert was a little disappointing and did not feel fresh. We will go again to try pizza.

Stopped in for drinks calamari and pizza this past Saturday evening. They were not busy. The drinks took 20 minutes to make it to our table. The pizza came out before the calamari. The pizza was soggy.
The calamari finally came out and it was soggy and chewy. The server seemed like it was her first day on the job. She was very confused and apologetic. Too bad that things turned out this way. Not coming back here again.

I got the ribeye steak. It was cooked perfectly the way I asked it to be cooked and it was good quality. The arancini was surprisingly authentic and delicious. The service was excellent despite it being a very busy weekend. The food was good quality, and the establishment had both indoor and outdoor dining. The establishment was very clean. I highly recommend it and plan to return.

We absolutely LOVE this restaurant in downtown York! This pizza is THE BEST pizza! The owner is from Sicily so he completely knows how to do it right! Perfectly cooked brick oven pizza each time we come! Oh, the Woodford Old Fashioned’s deserved two rounds for my husband’s retirement today! We love the atmosphere-warm! Love the lighting and the space and the super friendly staff that remembers us when we return. Happy happy!

Really cool environment with some of the interesting ways to hold tables up and light fixtures that are really cool. Reminds me of a steam punk environment with the heavy machinery and chains and stuff. Great eye candy. The server we had the time we visited with wonderful. Very nice and attentive. The food tasted pretty good. As much praise as the environment and our particular server was I have to say the food was a let down. We ordered a flat iron steak (supposedly grass-fed and local to York PA) it was ‘good’ but tasted burnt and was very chewy. It didn’t remind me of a great tasting steak. The broccoli was delicious and the mashed potatoes were great. The wings we had were standard and the salad seemed standard. But again everything tasted relatively good. The prices do not reflect the taste and inadequacies of the food. It wasn’t enough for us to be deterred from eating here in the future, but we would try different food items next time.

Visiting from out of town for the weekend and looking for a quick drink and bite to eat. Saw the great reviews which pulled me in as well as the location.
All the flavors of the Prosciutto pizza mixed with the lively atmosphere and banter of the owners with the regulars really made this visit special. No notes. Would come again.
