Don’t really have much patience for coffee shops that make drinks with sour milk. Would have returned but was just stopping in mid road trip and already back on the road before realizing. Undrinkable. So gross.

Stay a couple times a year at a nearby AirBnb, and Iron Coffee Co is a key part of the Hoosick experience every time. I love coming to work here in the mornings. For those who like strong / bold espresso drinks, I highly recommend both the iced latte and the iced cappuccino—one of the best iced lattes I’ve had anywhere.

Stopped into Iron Coffee the other day for a cup of coffee. It was pretty busy so I was optimistic. The coffee was ok, not great, but ok. We had the dark roast and would have thought it would be a little more robust in flavor but it wasn’t. It was weak like not enough coffee or the beans weren’t roasted enough. It was’t even hot.
The service was great however so that was a plus. Nice and friendly staff all the way around. There were a lot of locals there so it seems to do a decent business. But to be honest, it’s the only coffee house in town.
The place seemed a bit dark and dirty. The exhaust system must be not working or not strong enough because the entire place smelled of what ever was being cooked on the griddle. We sat upstairs and our eyes watered the entire time we were there. The odor got on our clothes and stuck with us until we got home. Their restroom wasn’t clearly marked and was kind of hidden back by the kitchen area. It was also very dark back where it was located. A little more light all around would be helpful.
The concept and decor is a great idea but it felt more like what we use to call a “greasy spoon” restaurant than a quaint coffee house. It won’t take much to make it better but as it is, can’t say much good about the experience at Iron Coffee Co. I hope they take this review in a positive and constructive light as there really isn’t much that needs to be done to make it a very special place to go for coffee and food.

I had the Dirty Hippie where they made of Chai Latte and a shot of Espresso. It was an interesting mixed of sweetness from Chai Latte and a little hint of espresso coffee.

First time visitor to Hoosic Falls, and this place sealed the deal!! I cannot reccommend this place enough. Super friendly and knowledgeable manager named Chad who was happy to tell us everything about their style and history. Clean, good looking place with a lot of spots to sit and relax. Their coffee is roasted in house with extreme attention to specific roasting profiles for each different region. Their espresso blend is carefully thought out, super clean, easy to drink alone and/or with milk. We left with drip coffees to go that were equally as impressive. If you’re in the coffee industry, or just an enthusiast, this is the spot for you. Trust.

Stopped in on a road trips vanilla latte and poor over coffee were great, softest crumb cake I’ve ever had and pretty tasty breakfast sandwich with bacon. Bagel was toasted crisp and overall just what I needed to get back on the road. Would love to come back! Staff was friendly and accommodating.

I ordered coffee beans for an anniversary gift for my husband (our “iron” anniversary). When I called with questions, I happened to get the owner on the phone. He was incredibly helpful & friendly. My order was packaged and shipped out the same day and arrived within 3 days (out of state). So happy with this experience. We absolutely will be shopping here again.
