Winter Is Coming
Iron City Pizza Company is a gem for pizza lovers! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a stylish yet cozy vibe that makes it perfect for a casual night out or a special gathering. The menu is packed with creative, mouthwatering options that go beyond your typical pizza joint. Their wood-fired pizzas are a standout—perfectly crispy crusts with fresh, high-quality toppings that make every bite a delight.

The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring a top-notch dining experience. Beyond the pizzas, their appetizers and craft beer selection are equally impressive, catering to a variety of tastes. Iron City Pizza Company clearly puts care into every detail, from the food to the service. It’s a must-visit spot for anyone in the area looking for exceptional pizza and a great time!

We had the Meatball appetizer (4/5) and the cheesy garlic focaccia (5/5) appetizer for starters. I preferred the focaccia to the meatballs but my boyfriend liked the meatballs he said that they tasted like pure beef with no additives. We ordered the 10 inch (personal pan size) of the Birmingham Sunrise (has eggs on it). It tasted like a breakfast burrito (3/5). We also had the Birmingham 5points (all meat). This one was a 5/5. Our third pizza was a white sauce pizza the Legion Field of Shrooms (4/5). This one we added chicken and bacon to and it tasted great just not enough sauce. It was dry. We also had bar drinks. They have a variety of margaritas to try and the two I had were really good. I had the regular margarita with blackberry and the Italian Margarita. We will return to try different menu options.

I ain’t no Portnoy, but I’m gonna give this pizza a 9.5. Crust, sauce to cheese ratio, whatever else you can rate a pizza on; 10/10. The only reason I didn’t rate the entire pizza experience a 10/10 is, from the wise words of Hank Hill, “you need something to work towards.” Good pizza.

Fantastic food!! We had the Fried Pickles for an appetizer, and they were honestly the best Fried Pickles I have ever had. The salad was fresh and delicious as well as the pizza!!

This review started with 5 stars because of the attentive all around good wait staff, the solid beer selection, and the interesting pizza options. In the end, I decided that the review of a pizza place should weigh the pie pretty high.
The in-house pickled jalapenos were sweet, tangy, hot, delicious and were provided as a free sample
We ordered 2 medium pies. The Arrington Arugula, a white sauce pizza with fresh arugula was good but not exciting and the flavor was dominated by whole cloves of roasted garlic (that I liked). The crust was bland, needed salt, a bit too chewy, and could have offered a crunch to make the pie more memorable. The Cahaba Caprese was a surprise since it was not the vegetarian pie that I had expected with tomato, mozzarella, and basil but included a solid amount of prosciutto. The fault was clearly on my side since I saw Caprese, jumped to a conclusion and did not read the description. I showed my disappointment and the waiter, without hesitation, offered to make a different, vegetarian pie as a replacement. A very customer focused move that I appreciated. Since I was with a carnivore, we kept the caprese/ham pie.
I gladly paid $9 for 16 fl oz of Snake Handler and we left happy.

Food is not their specialty! Drinks were good & Arthur our server was great. But pizza was dry & bland. It’s too expensive to taste worse than pizza from little Cesar’s. If it were not for the service they definitely would have gotten a 1 star review. The mushrooms are horrible taste like the sauce came straight out of a can. The wings $ fries were the best thing we had. The chesse bread was Texas toast with cheese on it no flavor

This place looked amazing from the google reviews. My family went on a Saturday around 6pm. I ran in thinking there would be a wait but no one was there.
We get seated at a cute table in front of the window and had very high hopes.
Our waitress got our drink order and brought the wrong drink to my daughter. Which we corrected then after 15 minutes of waiting. I did not see our waitress anywhere and so I asked the host for her drink.
After a few minutes the waitress brought it out.
We ordered the cheesy garlic focaccia and stuffed mushrooms for appetizers and they were decent.
Our drinks were heavily sweetened.
The napkins smelled musty. The smell was so overpowering.
We ordered a cheese pizza for the kids and the slice i tried tasted burnt.
We ordered sloss sausage for us with half being without sausage since one of us is vegetarian.
It came with sausage.
Overall, I just felt the waitress was no where to be found. She made several mistakes and then the food was subpar.
It really looked so good on google but we were disappointed.
For $130 it just wasn’t worth it.

And I hate leaving a bad review.

We had lunch at Iron City on their first opening lunch day. I got the field of legions mushroom pizza and it was fabulous. The truffle oil shined thru and played nicely with the crust and other flavors. They have a great crust and know how to bake a pizza.

The facility was clean and well kept. The wait staff and chef were very friendly and knowledgeable. The chef came out and spoke to us on two occasions.

I’ll definitely go back!
