We have been coming here for many years and this space is consistently excellent and has a good variety of Japanese dishes. The atmosphere is great.

I came here for the first time. Place is a little hidden from the street which I liked. I walked into the bar area. Place smells funny when you walk in but then smells kind of disappears over time. The menu needs to be updated. Pictures are blurry and you cant make out what type of fish it is due to the dim lighting. The rolls on the menu are in different pages and it gets very confusing. They should just list the fresh rolls and baked rolls together in the same page. Anyway, the sushi chef was awesome. He was very friendly and attentive. His sushi cuts and rolls he made me were delicious Miso soup was a little pricey $6. Typically $3 at other places. I thought the prices were high for this location. Almost $12 for two pieces of salmon sushi. Same for yellowtail. Seems like a bit much for what you get as far as the food and ambiance. The price you are paying is almost as if you were at a 5 star restaurant and this isnt it. Its a cute hole in wall place but the prices do not justify the experience. Waitress wasnt as attentive. Didnt check on me once. I had to get her attention to order an item from her and to bring the check finally. Not sure if I’d come back.

Incredible atmosphere, it’s tucked away in the back. I walked here so I’m not sure how the parking is. The Orange Panther roll was our favorite! The salmon absolutely melts in your mouth. Also ordered the Princess Roll which is baked and delicious. Highly recommend both of those rolls. My friend loved the Philly Roll and said it came out much larger than usual – the portion you get for the price is worth it. Definitely coming back here, nice hidden gem!!

The food was good, I’d definitely go again. This is the solid and reliable local spot you’re going to go to frequently because the food is good, the menu is solid and you’re not breaking the bank. If I had to pick a favorite item, I’d say it was the albacore sashimi with crispy onion.
Service was quick and friendly, super solid service!
The atmosphere was so pleasant, it was lively yet not overwhelming. You feel like you’re out and about without it being all up in your face.
The seating is mostly indoor seating and even the outdoor was covered.
Parking was valet but there was a lot of available street parking, the street parking is with meters which take credit card and change.

Nice cozy restaurant. We came early at 11 for sushi and we were almost the only ones. The food was great quality and tasted delicious. All the seafood on all the dishes were soft and fresh. First the orange panther came out (salmon, shrimp tempura, lemony). Delicious. It came with fried onion crisps but i think it tastes better without the crisps. Then came out the small seafood ramen which they fully loaded with seafood. It was great, very flavorful. Came with fried onion crisps and finely chopped green onions which did add to the flavor. The dynamite was okay. Had better at other places. Baked black cod roll was interesting. It had a different softer texture sushi rice and had a sweeter milder sushi taste. Last was the baked 5 mushroom roll. It was heavy on the sushi vinegar and the Asparagus overtook much of the flavor, but i enjoyed it because I love mushrooms. I would come out again to try out the other things on the menu

Update: this quickly became our favorite sushi place on Ventura and we’ve been several dozen times. We recently visited again post covid this past weekend with some friends and had a wonderful time. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu at this point and have yet to come across something that wasn’t really good.
From sushi, sashimi, ramen, or rolls you can’t go wong with anything here.
The food, staff and service are all excellent for any type of occasion.
We’ve been here twice now. The first time we sat at a table and the second time we sat at the bar. When eating sushi I find that sitting at the bar is far more enjoyable as you have a close, direct connection with the chef as he prepares your food.
The fish here is always exceptionally delicious, the Toro sushi and sashimi is some of the most moth watering melt in your mouth tuna belly I’ve had anywhere in LA.
Highly recommended to anyone who is a lover of sushi or just wants to try a delightful place to eat with incredible food.

All I got to say is that this place is delicious! I had a late night craving of sushi and with this place open till midnight I decided to drop by. Did not disappoint! What ever regular rolls you typically order, this place flips them for the better. Even down to the Philadelphia roll! Tuna on crispy brown rice, mussels, D.O.C., the one wrapped in cucumber served with eel sauce… there was not one roll that did not blow my mind! Plus I love the atmosphere here compared to other bourgie spots you would need to go to for this quality sushi.

This restaurant serves some of the best sushi in the area. It’s always very fresh. This restaurant is a bit pricey, and they have valet parking only.

The “3 kind seafood ramen” is amazing. Chock full of lobster, shrimp, and very tender calamari —Seemed there was more seafood than noodles. It’s a huge meal on its own but doesn’t feel heavy —feels fresh. Don’t forget to squeeze the lemon/lime onto the soup —it’s a game-changer. Self-parking is non-existent unless you find street parking but they have a valet.

Really good sushi. Everything here is delicious, it’s our go-to valley sushi spot.
Parking is difficult, you can do street parking or valet, which is $10. Your car gets parked at the motel next door.
