I work right down the street and we’ve had a couple of our annual Christmas parties here. The atmosphere is great with a homey pub/tavern feel. There is a fireplace in the main dining room which is great to sit by in the winter. They also have a side cottage where we’ve hosted our private events which is a great addition.
The service was a bit slow on our recent visit. It was just my buddy and I grabbing lunch and it didn’t seem busy. I got the Beef Stew which was just okay. It was a hearty portion with big chunks of meat, potatoes, carrots, and celery. But the broth was a bit lacking in flavor. I would recommend getting their Corned Beef Bites instead. They are little corned beef and swiss triangles on marble bread and are fantastic.

This place is a staple of Brookfield. Been coming here since I was old enough to drink! Guinness on tap her is a must. Food is fantastic too. Corn beef, and cabbage egg rolls haunt my dreams. Their shepherds pie is the best in Chicago. If I could I would eat here everyday for the rest of my life. Then I could die fat drunk and happy.

I came here on a Saturday for lunch. Food was delicious, we had ordered the cheese curds, pretzel bites, chicken wings and steak tacos. Flavor was great, but I was shocked that the bone in wings were tiny. Wish they bigger for the price of them. The service was excellent. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and sat down. Our waitress was very attentive and personable. Overall, we had a great time here and will be coming back soon.

Love this place! Wonderful staff, delicious food, and cozy atmosphere. Beer garden is amazing during the warm parts of the year! And when it’s cold out the fire place warms your soul! Highly recommend the Shepherds Pie! They also have the best corned beef around! Huge selection of beers and whiskeys as well! The establishment is extremely kid friendly as well!

We had such a great experience during our visit! From the moment we sat down, Ciara went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. She was friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to care that we were having a great time. Drinks were always full, food came out hot and on time, and she checked in just the right amount not too much, not too little. You could tell she takes pride in her work and loves what she does.
Martin was also an absolute blast! He brought great energy to the table, cracked jokes, and made the whole experience even more fun. The two of them worked together seamlessly and really made us feel welcome.
It’s rare to find service this consistent and enjoyable these days. Between the great atmosphere, delicious food, and the outstanding service from Ciara and Martin, we’ll definitely be coming back soon. Highly recommend!

Gone here 4 years in a row for my Brother-in-Laws birthday, always been a great meal with an absolutely amazing Shepard’s pie. It’s been incredibly crowded whenever we go but we always get a seat within 10 minutes. Very loud but great vibes

Irish pub. Guiness and corned beef. Shep pie. How can you go wrong?
Recently found out about 10 dollar burgers on Monday. What a treat! Outdoor music and events all the time. Right off the tracks.
Such a gem of an establishment. Multiple rooms and levels and what not. Big wooden bar tops and fireplace and jameson bottles lining the ceiling walls. Its got the vibe and the taps taste clean and the food is stellar.

CHECK YOUR BILL!! They charge for ice. They charge for using a credit card. If you order a martini, they charge for the martini, plus add on the vodka charge, so the martinis end up being twice the price, even though they come in small glasses that look like toasting champagne glasses. If you order two espresso martinis, they charge for three. They don’t charge the prices that are listed in the menu. I have never been to a place that adds charges for everything. Be careful and check your bill! Even after the adjustment, I don’t know if I was charged correctly. I won’t go back, even though the food, drinks, and service were good, and it’s right near the Metra stop. I’m surprised they operate like this. I’ve never encountered this in Chicago. Reminds me of a tourist trap, but it’s in the burbs. Wow.

The best part about this location is the service. The bartender and waitresses are all very friendly, and they come check on you several times throughout your meal.
The food itself is very OK. We got the grilled cheese with tomato, and it was fine but room temperature. The fries were also under seasoned and needed quite a bit of salt.
They have a large selection of drinks, a be prepared as many of them are not available. We had to ask for three different drinks before they had one of them available from their drink menu.
Atmospheres is also pretty good. The lighting is a little dim, however, it is great. Come here on Tuesday night at 8 PM if you want to participate in some trivia as well!
