I feel that their takeout system could be better. Sometimes you can stand at the door for 5 minutes or longer before someone stops to ask. Signs could be added.
Maybe dining in is better.
Parking lot is tight at peak hours
Small but loud and lively atmosphere.
Outside seating and Wifi available. Very loud inside. You may want to go early.
Of course an Irish Pub should offer at least 4 or 5 authentic Irish beers. Strike #1, no Smithwick’s, but they had Red Higgins ! I liked the plethora of Irish family “code of arms” ( family crest) on the wall! We watched a bit of the Red Sox game on the TVs over the bar area.
The Irish Setter Pub offered up a few Irish staples such as shepherd’s pie, and fish & chips. . . which we enjoyed! The steak tips may not be Irish, but were tasty!
The joke we heard:
I guess there’s a nearby town called Jasper, and we were asked . . .
“How can you tell the difference between a moose , and a girl from Jasper?”
Response. . . “ Oh 50 pounds and a red Flannel shirt!”
Kudos to Debi & Sonny Gustin for their 15 years operating a fine Irish pub in Presque Isle!
Suggestion: Need more Irish beers !
( by the next time I visit)
