I’ve been coming here since 2023, and the food and service have been a consistent 10/10 every single time. They never miss. Coming from a fellow Jamaican who knows authentic Jamaican food and who has tasted jerk chicken from just about every corner of Jamaica—this spot is top tier. The food, and especially the jerk chicken, is a cut above the rest.
The staff is incredibly friendly every time without fail. I’ve brought every family member who’s visited me, both locally and straight from Jamaica, and they all agree: this place stands out. I’ve put all my coworkers onto it too, and they share the same sentiment. At this point, they might as well hire me as a taste tester

Food was so dam good. Had to come down here to take care of some business got me some oxtail Rasta pasta and tore it up, 33 bucks but worth it because it’s about two or three meals in one bowl. Great flavor didn’t have to put a whole bunch of cheese or pasta sauce in the noodles for it to take good more of a soupy consistency but in a way that makes the flavor in the noodles pop. 5/5

There are a few tables inside and scattered seating outside. But you need to come to this place for the food! Outstanding Jamaican food. I come here whenever im in Atlanta. and it doesn’t disappoint. Goto items must be the oxtail and the curry goat

The food at Irie Mon Jamaican was underwhelming and lacked authentic Jamaican flavor. The dishes tasted more American than traditional, and the plantains were bland and undercooked. The oxtails were decent, but the rice needed more peas and seasoning. I ended up adding my own seasoning to improve the taste. Overall, it didn’t meet expectations for authentic Jamaican cuisine.

This was our first and unfortunately last time dining at this restaurant. Upon entering, my husband and I noticed several customers already waiting for their orders. We approached the counter to place ours but were not greeted or acknowledged by either employee present. Both the male and female staff members walked back and forth between the kitchen and front area multiple times without saying a word. After standing there for approximately 6–8 minutes, one of them finally addressed us, and it still took several additional minutes before our order was taken.

My husband ordered the oxtail with rice and peas, mac and cheese, and two veggie patties, totaling just over $50. We waited another 10–15 minutes for the food to be prepared. Before leaving, we checked the order and realized we had been given brown stew chicken instead of oxtail. When we returned to correct the mistake, the female employee initially insisted the order was correct until I showed both the food and the receipt (which I had to request). The male employee then apologized and corrected the order after taking back the incorrect meal. I sincerely hope that meal was discarded and not served to another customer.

Being of Jamaican background myself, I can confidently say the food lacked authentic flavor and did not represent true Jamaican cuisine. Overall, the experience was disappointing — from the lack of customer service to the long wait time and poor food quality. It would be beneficial for management to improve their service and system for handling both walk-in and online orders to reduce delays, especially when customers are paying over $50 for a meal.

Also the customer should not have to ask for their receipt, on top of paying for parking.

I visited this fine establishment today for there lunch special with a good friend of mine. I must say the food is delicious!! We had the Jerk Chicken special. I had white rice and plantain, while my friend had there cabbage with plantain. I was a bit nervous as it was my first time visiting but this place exceeded my expectations. Will definitely be returning! Chicken was juicy and flavorful, and the cabbage which I tried a bit of was perfectly seasoned! I definitely recommend this place!

I heard a lot about this place before I came here.

This venue is small and in a building office. You have to pay for parking but they can validate your ticket.

I ordered the Curry Goat, Beef Pattie, cabbage, plantains. It took them over 30 minutes to make my meal even though it is cafeteria style. I came later at night and they service the lounge next door. Everyone in there is working extremely hard the entire time. I did not have complaints.

The Beef Pattie was decent. The cabbage was good. Plantains were decent and semi sweet. The Curry Goat is the star of this meal and was really good. I was told to try the oxtails and brown stew chicken next.

To the owner:

This is the 2nd time I have left a review regarding bad customer service. I eat there at least twice a week and I love the food but I detest dealing with the young man who was there tonight, the young lady who was there tonight seems to be new at that location however she was rude as well.

On 3/6/26 around 7:30pm I purchased my meal and the young man and young lady at the register clearly did not want to be there and they both had an unwelcoming demeanor.

Customers just want to be acknowledged and treated respectfully.

I was not acknowledged while I stood patiently waiting for my order to be taken and I was not treated respectfully once my order was taken and my food was given to me.

I’ve been coming to Irie Mon every week for almost a year since I went vegetarian, but after today, I’m officially done. The plantains were undercooked and just plain nasty. On top of that, the service was awful. The lady serving was rude for no reason, acting like we were bothering her just by being there and she’s always messes up your order and blames you for it.
What makes it worse is you have to pay to park. So now I’m spending money to be disrespected and waiting forever for food that isn’t even cooked right? No thanks. I’m sick of the attitude and the lack of care. I really tried to SUPPORT this spot, but it’s not worth it anymore.
If you want better service and food that’s actually good, I highly recommend Mango’s on jerk cuisines instead. Do better, Irie Mon.
