We visit the keys for a few weeks every year. Visited Irie Island Eats this trip for a very unique and pleasurable experience. The outside signage is very low key and the restaurant is draped with palms so not the easiest restaurant to spot. It located on US1 across the street from the big Orange Home Depot sign. The atmosphere is very Bob Marley being a open air eatery covered with trees and palms that provide a very nice filtered light experience with Calypso music and super friendly staff. The food has a Caribbean/ Jamaican / Cuban flare with very nice mixture of spices and island fruit / vegetables aiming for a farm to table food preparation. Everything our group of five ate was delectable and the volume of food was large leaving us enough for an additional meal the following day. Some of the best Caribbean based food I have had both in the states and in the Caribbean. Attire is t-shirt, shorts, flip flops, and smiles! Highly recommend

Fun environment, overall good food. My bacon was cooked to a crisp though and I love bacon so I was sad. But otherwise the rest of breakfast was good. The pancakes and mixed plate were both interesting. Best part is the thatched roofs and the plants everywhere- feels like a jungle lunch. Some random chickens walking around but they kept off the tables for the most part… chickens pretty much don’t listen at all. It was an interesting experience and hopefully my bacon was just a fluke. Enjoy!

Headed north from Key West, we stopped at Irie Island Eats, mainly because we had seen Guy Fieri had eaten here. The MANGO BBQ RIBS were out of this world! My family got the Lamb Popsicle Bowls – equally as amazing. Everything comes with fresh, beautifully-colored vegetables and insanely good sauces. Meat is tender and falling off the bone. We’ll be back again on our way through to Key West the next time! Great vibe, speedy service, and awesome food!

This place was phenomenal amazing food, and drinks! I got an açai bowl and then a chai and it was so great. They have both breakfast and dinner options, but I could only attest for the breakfast. The atmosphere was great. There was so much to do if I would’ve chosen to stay and dine there like games and they had their own market with fresh food like fruits and other canned goods I would come back if I was a local cause they were all so nice and the service was very quick. It’s easy to miss this great find in the Florida Keys just by driving past so I would definitely make this a go to spot to stop while on vacation.

Very tasty meals in a great Caraibean outdoor patio. Excellent desserts too. Eventually a nice lunch after many poor experiences. Worth its already good rating! (French tastes 😉

Just wow. Hands down the best food I ate all week in the Florida Keys. Everything was seasoned, cooked to perfection, and incredibly delicious. Prices were reasonable. Also enjoyed the tropical outdoor atmosphere with the banana trees and reggae music. Definitely will return next time I’m in the Keys.

The best poke bowl I’ve ever had in my life!!! We got the tropical bowl and the portion was massive but so satisfying and not over filling even though it was a lot of food. Extremely fresh and delicious. 10/10 would definitely come back here to try more things!!

This place was fabulous. Super tasty food. Great Latte. Excellent Acai Bowl. Chickens walking around. Rain forest/Florida style back patio. The pictures speak for themselves. They even sold locally sauved meats and products.

THIS is a little gem of the Keys! What looks like a little grass hut opens up upon entering the front door into an amazing take-out counter and grocery… but walk a little further out into the out back where an eclectic array of picinic tables and bistro chairs are nestled within a dense garden of tropical trees and plants. At the back of this garden awaits a kitchen wrapped inside a trailer with an ordering counter. Daily menus/specials are hand-written in flourescent chalk on a large easel, but standard menus are available at the counter. The fare is what I would call “World Tropical” with a mix of tropical flavors paired with an infusion of Asian, Latino and Carribean herbs and spices. It is absolutely AMAZING and you get tremendously generous portions for the reasonable prices they charge. On our week stay in the Keys we visited three times and would recommend it as a MUST visit! Our favorite restaraunt in the Florida Keys! PS the signature Key Chickens strut freely here and are fun to watch!
