We had bún bò huế and phở here tonight — both were super tasty and really authentic! The broth was rich and flavorful, just like what you’d get in Vietnam. Definitely a hidden gem in Iowa City for Vietnamese food.
Food and vibes are five stars for sure. The service could be a bit better though — it wasn’t busy, but our waiter forgot our water and didn’t clear the empty plates. He did apologize, which was nice. We also had to ask twice for the check.
Still, the food totally makes up for it. I’d come back again for sure!

It’s good pho, good appetizers, and great drinks. The broth for the pho is great but the noodles are pretty standard. The drinks are very flavorful and I am a huge fan of the Vietnamese Coffee. But I do like bold coffees.

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The ambiance is beautiful and colorful, the place is spotless, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious; personally, I loved the fried Vietnamese spring rolls, but everything we tried was fantastic. The prices are very reasonable, and they have ample parking space. Highly recommended.
Update: Hi everyone! Today I went back to the restaurant and had a pleasant surprise. The Pho, which I had liked before, has greatly improved. It’s super delicious. Also, we tried the bahn mi and I have to say it’s one of the best I’ve ever had. My husband loved it. We’re very happy that they continue to maintain their quality and prices. We hope the business thrives and they can stay open for many more years!

The food is quite good. I’ve tried pho in the U.S. before, but I find the pho in Iowa tastes better. The place is very clean, and the staff are fast and friendly. Everyone should give it a try.

I had the beef brisket soup shrimp spring rolls. The soup was so flavorful and the rolls tasted great with the peanut sauce.

The pho was amazingly hot and fresh, the broth was very authentic. The eggrolls were hot and crispy, ask for lettuce! The jasmine tea is an in-house brew and some of the best iv had!

Visited recently and tried their Basil Chicken Stir Fry—nicely presented, generous portion, and overall great taste. It had a good balance of flavor and spice. We also ordered the Vietnamese coffee, but it was a bit underwhelming—just okay, nothing special. The ambience of the place was pleasant and welcoming, adding to the dining experience. Would recommend for a good Vietnamese meal, though the coffee might not be a highlight.

The food was tasty! I definitely wouldn’t recommend going before noon on Tuesday though. I ordered pho and fried rice. They “had forgotten to make rice” so I had to wait extra for that. They were “out of basil” for my pho, but brought some out for another table about a half hour later. I heard the server say 2 or 3 different times that they were out of something or got the order incorrect.
It was super clean! But I had to put the toilet paper on the roller when I went to the restroom.
So I’ll probably go back because I love pho and theirs was pretty good. But I will definitely not be going for lunch on Tuesays. They weren’t ready for service.

I thought this restaurant was pretty dang good! The egg rolls are out of this world- you absolutely must get them!!! Coconut shrimp was extremely coconutty, crispy, and delicious. I also got the vegetarian bahn mi, which wasn’t my favorite, but it was still yummy! Kinda pricey, but I’d go back just for the egg rolls!
