Very delicious! At $18 a plate I wish I was closer. The chicken was juicy, soup was seasoned well and tasted good (three options) and desserts included pies, cookies and brownies. Buffets are tricky, food sits under lamps so I think it’s hard to rate it over 4 stars but it was an all around great experience, hence the 5 stars

I really liked this place. I love the gift shop outside the restaurant too.
The service was great, but the burger patty on my mushroom swiss was tasteless. I was kind of disappointed. At least the fries and the bacon on it were good! ♀️ On the other hand, my parents got the buffet and they loved it!

I went back for the third time in a year l told a friend I would give It one more chance, been coming by here since 1982. Buffet terrible for a place that’s known for pork, ribs stink poor taste overall not good not even pork chops.

The Environment is good and peaceful, My understanding for the buffet is it is all you can eat. So when I went back for a fourth time, man , the looks got serious. I’m definitely okay with the price of $13.99 a person definitely for all you can eat. But when the price tag comes up to $36.25, And there is hardly anything at the buffet for breakfast, It is worth concerning against. We also had to ask for extra drink. Because the original way we had did not refill our drinks. I certainly got fool off of the food they did have at the buffet but was actively Disappointed with the very few items they did have. I certainly would not recommend at least for breakfast. The items on the Menu comes up over the buffet price. Just a heads up

Always a must stop when I’m passing through. Visited at the beginning of my trip and this review is on the return side however both experiences were similar. Ate from the buffet. Food quality was very good…hot and plentiful. Service was also very good. While the entire truck stop was busy there was plentiful seating in the restaurant area and not real noisy. Will keep coming back during my trips.

2 stars because some of the food tasted decent and the price wasn’t bad. Layout of the restaurant looks nice and welcoming on the surface. The servers I encountered really bring the mood down though. The ribs were dry and tasted funny and a lot of the food on the buffet wasn’t very hot. I got bad food poisoning after eating here and the service was horrendous. My server was cold and only asked me what I wanted to drink during the entire dining experience. She brought my check on my first plate and didn’t bother to clear any of my dishes or offer a refill until I was almost ready to leave. I could hear her gossiping about other tables with her coworkers the entire time, making it obvious how seriously she takes her job. Most employees there looked miserable. Waitress never bothered to check on me otherwise but made sure to chase me down on my way out to make sure I meant to not leave a tip. I can’t remember the last time I refused to tip anything, even at a buffet, but this experience was abysmal. Next time I stop at Iowa 80 I’ll just stick with the fast food options in the food court or else get food from their convenience store.

Teka was absolutely awesome!! She’s one of the best and most attentive waitresses we’ve ever had the pleasure of being served by. Her recommendations were perfect and the food was excellent. We had the steak breakfast skillet as well as the special limited time mac n’ cheese burger with bacon – you gotta have it with a side of bacon jam too! ❤️ We also saw that the limited time jalapeño popper burger had just ended which we would have loved to try! For dessert we had pumpkin cheesecake to-go and that was also delicious. We will definitely be back!

I came here with the family today for breakfast and highly enjoyed it. They sat us down right away, the restaurant and bathrooms were clean, Servers were hospitable, and the food came out nice and hot and was super delicious. The overall price of this restaurant wasn’t bad either, especially for four people. We were genuinely happy with our time and left feeling full.

I met my dad here for the Christmas buffet but it was so busy we just opted for a couple meals off the menu.. this place was absolutely packed but our waitress did an amazing job. Our drinks were never empty! I got the steak sandwich and it was delicious fries were crispy!

Personally I’m not big on the buffet. It’s always the same and not great. The actual menu is smaller than it was. It would be nice to see a Black Bear dinner or something similar. However, the staff is always super nice. So I gave the staff 5 stars.
