I went to Intermezzo in Charlotte, North Carolina as part of a meet up group. It was 16 of us and I found out when we got there, we had to sit outside. It was one of the hottest days of the year. They had fans but it absolutely wasn’t enough. There were also flies but there’s no way they could help that. The service started out well, but then went downhill. I totally understand that people are short staffed so it didn’t bother me too much. The food was average. I was really looking forward to going there. I ended up getting the kale salad with the shrimp. The dressing was good. Two of my friends got the eggplant. They said it was way over salted. They also made mistakes on a few of the orders, but the best part was one of the mess ups was a pizza so my friend was still hungry and asked if she could have the pizza that was a mistake and the waiter said “yeah, but you have to pay for it”. She said, of course. I thought that was a little tacky. I would definitely go back and try it again. I think it was just too many of us at once and I wish they would’ve told the head of the meet up that we were going to sit outside because we probably wouldn’t have gone. The other strange thing was I guess they added a server to our table and some people got two checks because each server had to get shipped separately. It is what it is.

This place is very very very good. The menu selection is open to vegetarians and meat-eaters alike. Unfortunately, I did not snap a picture of our entrees, but everyone at our table enjoyed their food. The pizzas are delicious and very well made. There is a great selection. I got a chicken entree with mashed potatoes. Extremely delicious. The food tastes much better than you’d expect, very very good quality and amazing flavors. I recommend trying some of the Serbian dishes as they expand your experiences.

Hands down the best pizza I’ve ever had. Came out crispy but still a bit soft so it was the perfect texture!! I got the chicken pesto pizza this time but I’m excited to come back and try some of the Serbian food as well

Wow. Just wow. By far, the most delicious pizza I’ve had in Charlotte and a close 2nd to Pizza I had in Florence Italy. The Pesto Chicken Pizza will have you wanting another slice even after you are full. The Funghi Pizza was delicious as well, and you could taste the depth of the flavor in the sauce. Highly recommended – I will most definitely be back!

Stopped in with a couple of friends on a Wednesday night and I was blown away. The appetizer was these huge delicious garlic knot sticks. The marinara was spectacular. I got the blackened chicken pasta, which was so full of flavor, the pasta looked and tasted like it was made in-house and the chicken was grilled to perfection. We got Tiramisu for dessert and just like everything else, it was delicious. The Spanish wine, made with macabeo & parellada grapes paired so well with everything.

Great pizza joint in plaza. They have other options like pasta and Serbian dishes I’d like to try next time. Big patio with plenty of fans to keep cool while stuffing yourself with pizza and beer. Partial skyline views.

My server Jenny W on 10/13/22 7:56pm was amazing! Her personality really turned me and my husband’s date night into an entertaining night! Customer service has really become a thing of the past but Jenny still has it and my experience was nothing short of amazing. This was our first visit but it definitely won’t be the last. The food and drinks were great!

This restaurant was such a pleasant surprise. I discovered it on a whim when I went to a local business. It has a very casual neighborhood feeling and doesn’t look like much, plus pizza from a Serbian restaurant? I was skeptical at best. It did not resemble any pizza I ever had and I couldn’t eat it fast enough, it was so delicious. Thin crispy crust, fresh flavorful cheese and seasoning. The outdoor patio and service is very pleasant and welcoming. I did not try anything else on the menu, so can’t speak to it. Will absolutely return.

For the type of food and quality this location has left me underwhelmed. The pasta was hand made but the shrimp was frozen prior to being cooked and there were 6 pieces in the entire dish. It was not worth $20+. The Cajun shrimp also only had six pieces and majority of the plate was vegetables that you could get at Harris teeter for less than $6. The crepes were worth the cost. Simple and well flavored. The ricotta and goat bread appetizer was good but not note worthy. Overall every dish was simple but made to look as if the restaurant was Michelin star rated. I do not recommend it unless you just like spending money for mediocre food. Their gratuity of $38 for a table of six people is ridiculous. I would have rated it higher if the food was worth the cost. Don’t forget the eight dollar charge for the credit card being used!
