My husband takes me to Insomnia Cookies tonight. I am excited because I love Insomnia Cookies. I get the Blondie (Brownie) to go. We hop in the car and I set the small, cardboard box on my lap. I arrive home only to discover both the thin liner and bottom of the cardboard box are saturated with greasy oils from the Blondie. To make bad matters worse. The bright purple ink from the graphic on the bottom of the box is now transferred onto my skirt. A skirt I am wearing for the first time. The ink ruined my skirt and here I am. Very sad. It was a nice classic J.Crew skirt. Now it’s trash.

Here I am TWO WEEKS LATER. NO RESOLUTION. Insomnia first asked for proof of purchase. LOOK AT THE PICTURES. There’s your proof. They wanted a picture of my husbands receipt. He didn’t have it. Then they wanted a screenshot of our bank statement as proof. He paid cash. Then they offered a gift card in an amount equal to three deluxe cookies. Free cookies won’t get the stain out of my skirt. Free cookies won’t replace my skirt. I declined. I suggested they offer dry cleaning reimbursement. If that doesn’t work. Provide compensation to replace the skirt. Also address the packaging. Maybe add a thicker liner in the box. Something corrugated perhaps. Remove the purple graphic from the bottom of the box. Make note on the box that oil may seep through. Most of all. Next time. Ask the customer, “What can we do to make it right.” Not everyone is willing to be placated by the offer of free cookies.

Good, but a little pricey, warm cookies. They have several kinds to select from. The specials today included an apple pie filled and a peach cobbler filled both of which were excellent. I got a box of 4 to sample different ones that came out to a little over $18 with a drink included.
Counterservice was fast, friendly and helpful. They have a small counter where you can stand but it’s really oriented to take-out or delivery.
There’s a small shared parking lot which especially may be full during peak meal times.

The cookies tasted amazing and they were huge! The service was very fast as well. Once we decided what we wanted, we told the cashier and she had the order ready in like 30 seconds. I will say it was a lot more expensive than I was expecting. The box of 6 deluxe cookies was $27 and the bottles of water were $4 each!
