The food was absolutely fantastic—both the octopus and fish were cooked to perfection: tender, flavorful, and clearly prepared with care and tradition. You could genuinely feel the authentic Portuguese vibes in every bite and detail, from the seasoning to the presentation.

What really stood out beyond the food was the atmosphere. The restaurant had such a warm, welcoming energy—it felt like a place where locals gather often, and for good reason. It’s cozy, full of charm, and you can tell it’s a beloved spot in the community.

Even my non-Portuguese fiancée loved it just as much as I did, which says a lot. It’s rare to find a place that delivers both authenticity and comfort so effortlessly.

We ordered 2 medium rare Portuguese burgers (Angus beef/chourico patty, bacon, lettuce, tomato and American cheese), 1 Old Fashioned and 2 Portuguese orange sodas. The Portuguese burgers were delicious! They were sizable, grilled to perfection and served on fluffy Portuguese rolls for added authenticity. The accompanying fries were rather unique. They were smaller, thinner and lighter than your standard fries. We loved them. By the time we were finished with our meals we were stuffed.

My Old Fashioned was served just the way I like it – strong!!! There’s nothing I hate more than being ripped off with watered down, weak drinks. Kudos to the bartender.

Service was very friendly and patient. Prices are fair for the quality. I would make a repeat visit (and plan on it to sample other menu items).

If you want authentic & flavorful Portuguese food at amazing prices, this is the place! Judie was attentive and spot-on with recommendations. Trust her judgement!
I had the special (shredded cod with onions, peppers, garlic, and chic peas) and cleaned the entire plate even though the portion was HUGE! The seasonal dessert (pumpkin bread pudding) was also amazing… I also had to taste of their traditional Rice Pudding. It reminded me of how my grandmother made it.
The restaurant atmosphere was very welcoming with a friendly staff and well-dressed tables. They welcome regulars (which there were) and folks passing through just the same. I can’t say enough about the flavor of their food. Try it! You will not be disappointed!

I ordered chicken cutlets and after taking a bite noticed the chicken was raw inside.. most of the chicken was completely raw, with only a very thin outer layer cooked. I had already swallowed part of it before realizing.

I informed the waitress, who apologized and said they would “cook it through,” but there was no sense of urgency, no manager check-in, and the dish was not comped.

The drinks and appetizer were fine, but serving chicken that is largely raw and then minimizing it is a serious food safety concern. Very disappointing response.

Extremely pleasant experience. All of the staff were extremely helpful. The atmosphere was unique and relaxing. The menu had something for everyone. Everyone was very happy with the dish that they ordered and they were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the Inner Bay Cafe.

The restaurant is a nice place. We went for a late lunch so it was quick and quiet. I got the Shrimp Mozambique which was great! Not overwhelming…the portions were just right. I tried the octopus and it was really good. I definitely want to try it again.

This was a great find. As so many of the reviews say, the food is very good, the selection diverse and authentic, and the prices reasonable. The marinated pork dish that I had (Carne de Porco Alentejana) was huge, tasty, and happily, half of it is coming home with me. Service (Judie) was very friendly and helpful, taking a lot of time describing the various dishes. The deserts were amazing – I don’t recall ever hearing a list where every choice was temping. They are all made in house. Other than rice pudding ( which was creamy and delicious so I see why they keep serving it ), all of the other dessert choices change daily. My wife said she would come back just to eat desserts, and the response was that some people do just that, and are welcomed. We will be back.

Very disappointing! Waste of $31! My friend and I both ordered the baked stuffed shrimp. The fries were wimpy. The vegetables and rice were tasteless. The baked stuffed shrimp was horrible. It didn’t taste fresh-like it was cooked several days ago and it was cold. They were not jumbo shrimp as specified on the menu. They were overcooked and chewy. And the stuffing was just as bad. Don’t waste your time or hard earned money!!!
