Update: We just had dinner here under the new ownership and are still very pleased with their food. We had the pulled chicken & pork as well as a burger & fries. All were very good. Our cornbread was forgotten, so I can’t voice an opinion about it. I met the owner and he was very friendly. They have added some outdoor seating under screened canopies.
Tried this place for the 1st time and was very pleased with the service and the food. I ordered the pulled chicken and pulled pork sandwiches as well as a hamburger for my family. Everything was very good. It was right before closing, and I and a couple of other folks showed up to place to-go orders. The owner was quite nice and made sure we all got our meals in a timely manner. I’ve been back a few times and have always been pleased with their food and service.

Ordered online and picked up take out. We enjoyed the bbq and the Cole slaw too! Gotta go back and try the Church Tea, see if I can pick out the secret ingredient. Great option in Edenton.

New Inner Banks BBQ is well worth the wait. Sweet potatoes and cabbage just like my dad makes from Louisiana. I don’t like pulled meat too much but the texture of the chicken and pork was just the right mix with the sauce. The ribs were… well that’s all there is to say about that. You put in your own words of embellishment for those things. Haven’t tried Mac and cheese or coleslaw yet but they are anything like the other foods I listed everyone in Edenton who hasn’t tried this food is missing out. Big shout out to the owners.

Visiting from Ft. Liberty for a week in Edenton. We stopped at Inner Banks BBQ for breakfast. The fruit smoothies were delicious and the honey chicken biscuits were exceptional. I have visited 37 countries and 19 states tasting food from across the US and globe. I have eaten at 3 different Michelin restaurants and can say without question that Inner Banks BBQ has the best chicken biscuits ever. And the prices were great.

This food was not worth the money i paid for today . i paid $25.00 for food that was Not good at all the bake beans was Mushy and too sweet . The pulled chicken sauce was to sweet and the ribs most definitely Not falling of the bone it was dry with no flavor. The church tea was really good cornbread was dry cabbage was not bad. Sorry i know my bbq this is not it . So i have give them one fork . But i will say the little lady that took my order was very nice.

Don’t be confused by the small building. Amazing food… avocado toast is awesome. Cheese burger add bacon is amazing. Quality of food is on point. Customer service is always on point I eat here at least twice a week. Call them ahead of time to keep from waiting. Isaac

Neat looking little spot, after that is disappointed. We stopped for a relaxing breakfast and ordered the honey chicken biscuits. Was told 10 minutes, I thought, great hot fresh food. Then was told, no restroom or place to wash your hands. When our food arrived, the disappointment began. Warmed over biscuits with a processed chicken tender, and honey dumped on it. The biscuits were dry and rubbery. The chicken tasted like fish. It was worse than the local gas station.

Bbq was solid. I could have done without the thick sauce on top of it but solid. Ribs were dry and tough. Just not very good. Baked beans were great. Mac and cheese was top notch. Definitely recommend. I’ll probably give it another visit in the future.

Excellent food prepared when you order it. Not a “fast food joint,” but still pretty fast. Pulled pork, pulled chicken, ribs, burgers, hot dogs, lots of sides, AND breakfast! Try their “church tea” with a secret ingredient added. Stop in soon and let YOUR taste buds experience bliss. Nice folks with longtime Edenton connections are actually happy to see you come in. They take pride in their food.
