The food was delicious, but there was a very long wait. We waited 30 minutes for a 3 meat combo plate and bbq sandwich. It’s a good thing I checked my plate before leaving because they had forgotten my brisket. Had the food not been so tasty and well priced, this would be a 1 star review. The brisket was the star of the show with a nice smoke ring and perfect blend of fatty and lean. The smaller rib of the 3 was a bit overcooked but the cracked pepper seasoning saves the day on flavor and the other 2 ribs were perfect. The turkey slices were nice and moist. The white cheddar Mac and cheese is very velvety and creamy and the mustard base potato salad is some of the best I’ve ever had w a combination of creamy and crunchy textures. Their super sized “texas bun” sandwich is a chonky meaty melody for a solid price. Let’s not forget their bread and pies. The cherry pie had a caramelized sugar crust that got eaten before any pictures could be taken. They even have a gun shop located near the bathrooms. I had my doubts because I could not smell the food in the building, and the long wait, but I can honestly say it was worth it! You might want to call 20-30 minutes ahead. However, they could also use another hand with expediting the sides. There was one lady cutting the meat, weighing it, and it seemed like she was expediting the sides too. This bottlenecks the whole process and can easily be avoided with some extra help. This would be a 5 star review if I didn’t wait so long.

An extremely highly recommended place by a couple of friends in our neck of the woods (Fort Worth Texas). And it did not disappoint. There is a lot of good barbecue in Fort Worth, but this barbecue was off the hook good. First I will say that, upon getting to the order counter which really wasn’t bad at 11:30 when we arrived, we identified that we had no idea what we were doing to the lady behind the counter. We asked for help, and help we received! First off, $100 for 3 lb of barbecue and three, 1 qt sides and a loaf of bread with free fixings (onion, jalapeno, pickles and beans) is not bad at ALL. This fed an army of five and a half with even some leftover. Brisket is lean and extremely tender with a great taste. They have turkey sausage only, both jalapeno and regular. We were able to taste both, and I would definitely tell you that this is some really good stuff and you don’t miss not having pork sausage! Pork ribs are very well done, but were a little bit salty. Mac and cheese is a must get. My wife does not like coleslaw but she loved this. We enjoyed our lunch so much that we went back to get a couple of hats and a t-shirt, so we were the ideal customers (except we did not buy a pie, for which they have a lot of really good looking ones, as that would have taken most of our people past the point of no return!!). Towards 12:30 the line was getting pretty long with a lot of locals! We had a gentleman who was very cordial offering to take our trash. Will definitely be back if in the area!

My 1st Texas Pit BBQ, Food was okay, Turkey Sausage was very hard to bite through. Brisket was a great tenderness but lacked flavor. Mac and Cheese and the Beans were delicious. Staff was polite and helpful but started closing up 25 minutes early and made you feel rushed to get out.

Baked beans? Tasted like boiled beans soaking in water..cold water. The brisket had so much fat none of us could eat it. The ribs were fatty and cold. Wish we had our $30 plus back in my pocket
Totally disgusting.

I just read an article today about Llano being the friendliest town in Texas and I can see why! This was day two of me visiting here and the people really are friendly. This is a lovely barbecue place. Price was fair ($22 for a plate, piece of pie and 10% tip) and the moist brisket was amazing! I had the sausage as well, but it was a little dry and then I realized later that it was actually turkey sausage. It definitely has an acquired taste, but all in all, good food and good people here. I also loved that they asked customers where they were from. It’s interesting to see who were regulars and where people were coming from to try their food.

The brisket, a masterpiece of tenderness and flavor, boasts a mouthwatering bark and a smoky richness that lingers on the palate. The ribs, with their perfect balance of smokiness and juiciness, showcase the pitmaster’s expertise. However, the culinary journey doesn’t end with the savory delights – the cheesecake dessert is a delightful surprise that elevates the dining experience. Creamy and indulgent, the cheesecake provides a sweet finale to the carnivorous feast, leaving patrons with a satisfied and contented palate. With its rustic charm and exceptional barbecue offerings, this spot in El Llano is undoubtedly a haven for barbecue enthusiasts seeking an authentic and unforgettable dining experience.

For the price of $13 for my plate, this is one of the best places to have good BBQ! They serve 2 ribs, 5 slices of brisket, beans, fresh baked bread, and one other side. I do not know of any place else that offers BBQ for that price and amount.

We ordered 4 pies on Friday to pick up today, and they were ready and still warm. We also bought a loaf of their wheat bread baked this morning.

It’s not the best BBQ I’ve had, but it’s one of the better ones.
Ribs were more of the competition style, not the fall off the bone type. The brisket was good with some pieces better than others. Had potato salad was quite good, and the wheat bread was the best.

Been hearing about Inman’s famous turkey sausage my whole life (my family used to go every Thanksgiving on their way to a hunting lease). I finally had a chance to stop by and was very disappointed. Met two friends that ordered right in front of me, and got their food 30 minutes before I did. Turns out the kitchen lost my order. Had to go ask for my order twice before getting it. I ordered jalapeno cheese turkey sausage and pork tenderloin, was given regular turkey sausage and it was very dry and bland. I ordered over $120 of jalapeno cheese turkey sausage to go, explaining to the employees that I had already been given the wrong sausage with my plate, but they assured me my to go order was correct. Given my experience so far I should not have believed them. Got home and unwrapped the sausage to find out it was not jalapeno cheese. Very disappointed.

Always delicious! I recently had the pleasure of working with Kayla on ordering prepared Thanksgiving meals, Kayla was so kind and knowledgeable about Inman’s Thanksgiving meals. I cannot thank her enough for helping me get everything ordered for families in our community. My family and I will continue to enjoy Inman’s!
